Glad to hear Zangari just sprained it. That looked really ugly when it happened. We really aren't going to learn anything more about our team tonight than we did Saturday. I just hope Guilmette has another strong game. He showed a lot of good things, but then again it's so hard to tell against that low a level of competition.

Mo Kemp is an absolute animal. I honestly think he is the most underrated player in C-USA. Kid has NBA talent... just a very thin frame.

NBA talent based on what? Lighting up Washington & Lee? He avg'd 10 & 6 last year, not quite NBA talent numbers for a Junior.

I don't think he's an NBA talent, but he averaged 10 and 6 in ONLY 23 minutes a game. He was among the league leaders in nearly every catagory, Blocks, Steals, FT shooting, Rebounds etc, and has the 4th highest returning Player Efficiency Rating in CUSA. He was simply one of the most productive players when he was on the court, so yeah he probably is underrated based on that. A skilled 6-8 SF, he will make some money playing basketball if he wants. Might not be the NBA, but somewhere.

1. TaShawn Thomas 24.3
2. Keith Clanton 23.2 (All CUSA)
3. John Bohannon 22.6
4. Maurice Kemp 22.3
Dennis Tinnon 22.3 (All CUSA)
6. Tarick Black 22.2 (All CUSA)
7 Kendal Timmions 21.2
8. Ricky Tarrant 21.0 (All CUSA)
9. Miguel Paul 20.7 (All CUSA)
10. Johnathan Mills 20.5 *was 3rd team last year
11. Neil Watson 19.8 (All CUSA)
Isaih Sykes 19.8
13. Johnathan Simmions 19.5
14. Deandre Kane 19.3 (All CSUA)
15. Joe Jackson 18.5 (All CUSA)
16 Chris Crawford 17.8 (all CUSA)

That's the list of highest PER's returning this year and preseason selections. No coincidence it's a who's who of CUSA players or that the best players like Kasimi, Barton and Moore were tops last year, Braswell was your only player over 20.0, or that Michael Jordan is #1 all time in the NBA etc etc. The guy produces when he is on the court. With Straughn probably out for the year he will get a lot of minutes at SF and should be all conference. He was already among the league leaders in just about everything last year despite only playing 23 minutes a game.

Yeah, also in a way it's not a bad thing Paul isn't playing. These aren't games we are going to lose and we are getting a lot of minutes for the other guys at PG. Get to see Richmond there a little bit more and get PRC more minutes of PT which for a young player is good even if it's against pathetic competition.

Then why not play him more than 23 mins? All those other guys I'd expect played well over 30 mins, and it's not like Jordan came out often. So either Lebo is bad with his rotations in that regard, or he knows something some don't?

Well this year he will play a lot more than 23 minutes, and last year he got off to a rough start OOC and didn't play much at all. As the season went on he got better and better and at the end of the year was probably our third best player. I think he's going to be our second best player this year behind Paul, and that playing the 3 more will be good for him. He's a match up problem there with his height and length, while when he plays the 4 he's just too light.

Only playing 25 games against DI opponents gives ECU very little chance for an at-large. Pretty much have to sweep non-conference and finish top 3 in CUSA.

Probably right, but I'm not concerning myself with that. My goal is for us to get 20 wins (yes including the non-D1 games). Considering we have never had a 20 win season as a D1 team that would be a big accomplishment. My other goal is to have a winning season in C-USA. Best C-USA record we have ever had was 8-8 in Lebo's first year. If we can reach those 2 goals this year will be a big success, and I think both are very attainable.

Now you have.

I found some of his old european stats and he averaged about a 3 pointer made a game, so he's capable of shooting from that range as well. The only player on the team I think will not have the green light from deep is Armstrong and even he shot a 17 footer last night. Lebo said this was the best group of shooting bigs he had ever coached. Could very well end up as one of the best outside shooting teams in the nation this year.
No you haven't, in this GIF his feet are all over the line. However, he clearly looks like he'll shoot 45% from 3pt land.

If you don't think he is one of most under rated players in C-USA, go watch the C-USA tourny game between ECU and USM. He was in full beast mode in that game and the opening round game as well. Well you see how good he is very soon.

Yep, centers last year light us up. Morrow had an unforgettable game.

Maybe the other centers should have shot more, you could have beat us.

Brisco's gone. You don't have anyone that can go Ham from the outside like he did vs us. You have probably the worst shooting team I've ever seen. Good luck upsetting us this year or our center scoring 0 like Morrow in 36 minutes.

We were 8 point favorites. The two players that defined that paticular game Brisco and Morrow are gone. Still trying to figure out who the heck you guys have from the outside that can actually keep D's honest.

Pretty sure my charity was the one that got paid last year from our bet. I'm also pretty sure that Lebo overall has had one of the biggest turnarounds in the POSITIVE direction of anyone in that coaching caurosel class, while Major has had one of the biggest in the opposite direction.

Our program is the one in better shape today. You guys going to sign any recruits this year? Good news is you can't lose anymore to us since we finished months ago. We like Guilmette and Bowden. You could use them a lot starting 6-7 centers and with no shooters.
