Get your tails out to Ray-Jay if you live in the area for the WVU game. Having 20,000 (it actually looked more like 15,000, but the gate/sold number was 27,204) is just a shame with da Bulls on a quest to reach a BCS bowl. Our games should get the same support as the Bucs, hopefully things will catch on.

Sadly, if the game is not at 7pm, people don't come out. If the WVU game is at noon, the crowd will not be as big as a 7pm kickoff. Causal fans and some of our supporters are not stepping up to the plate. Students are finally coming out which is great, but still we are trying to build this program and we can't get people to come out and see a winning team.

Do you think that if you had your own stadium in the 35-60,000 range, you would get more people?

I dont think is the stadium. The main issues as i see them is that we have not played football for enough of a period to establish a fan base that will be there all the time. As our school develops a history of having a football team that is succesful and has top 25 ambitions youll see more fans at the games.Remember FSU and UM were not drawing the numbers they are now just 20 years ago.

Our fan base is young and many have young kids so those early saturday games are a killer because you have to choose between the game and your kids little league games

Good point. It's easy to lose sight of the fact that USF has only been in existence under a decade. It will take time to build fan support. They are doing better than alot of programs that have had 1-A football teams for decades.

Its pretty much a given urban schools will draw well Sat. from a start between 4 and 7. At UC its a difference of at least 5000 per game. The walk up numbers are the largest difference. I'm sure its the same in Tampa, Pitts etc. I do think you need your own on campus stadiums. Games in the NFL stadiums should be once a year for huge game like OSU or Notre Dame only for UC or ND Penn State for Pitt or Miami aor FSU or Florida for USF. I went two years ago to Tampa. Great stadium but no ccollege atmopshere same in Pitts this year.
