DENTON, Texas - Its homecoming weekend for the North Texas football team as they host the Arkansas State Red Wolves at Apogee Stadium at 4 p.m. It is the 63rd homecoming game for North Texas and the Mean Green has an all-time record of 40-21-1.

These two teams have met as conference opponents as members of the Southland, Big West and Sun Belt Conferences. Arkansas State has dominated this series of late, winning the last seven meetings.

The last North Texas win was in 2004, which was also the last time that North Texas finished the year with a winning record. In the 13 wins over North Texas, Arkansas State averaged 32.5 points per game. In the eight losses to the Mean Green, the Red Wolves averaged 11.9 points per game

Freshman running back Antoinne Jimmerson has rushed for 487 yards on the season, which is the third highest total by a freshman at North Texas since the 1997. Jimmerson has rushed for more yards as a freshman than the all-time leading rusher Lance Dunbar and Patrick Cobbs, who is second all-time.
