As I watch the VT vs. FSU game, they are carting off a player. I am thankful in that so far in 4 years at Foreman Field we have not had to cart one of our own off the field.

As far as other teams, I remember a Chowan player carted off and put in an ambulance at our first game. I never could find any info on it.

Yea, I forgot about that. I forget his name but I believe he left the program in the spring.

I think NCCU also had a guy carted off in the first season after a brutal tackle. It was that game where they were down 28-0 and tied it in the 4th after which ODU scored two more TDs and won.

yea there was but as far as ODU players there has only been one. Lorenzo Smith was carted off in the playoff game vs. NSU.... He left the program in the spring to focus on school

Sounds like it was a strained neck and the cart was precautionary. Glad he is ok.

Didn't happen in a game, but Mario Crawford saw his playing days come to an end due to a neck injury.

Yeah sad that we never saw Lorenzo Smith again. Is he still enrolled? I hope he at least earns a degree.
