Ohio ahead of Miami? How is that possible?

BTW, just saying what everyone else would. :domokun:

I would hesitate to put Miami and CMU ahead of WMU. All of our losses come from teams in the top 6 in your ranking, and the BSU game went into overtime.

Kent is tops in MAC. What happenened to Toledo today against Buffalo? I only ask that because Toledo fans where hammering Ohio for barely beating the Bulls. I would ranked Toledo and Northern after that. Not sure where to put my Bobcats after what happened today. I also believe the balance of power has leveled between the divisions thanks to Kent. If West is better its not by much. Nothing like the lopsided balance of power in basketball. :)

The team who is tops in the MAC is the one who won the conference last year and is undefeated in the conference this year.

I hope Ohio retains some votes, Kent earns some votes, and NIU and Toledo move up.

i would like to see that too, but i have a feeling the voters will drop us like a hot potato. i hope one of the other teams moves up and takes our place in the Top 25, though.

Yep. They beat the #18 team on the road I believe. Until they are beaten by a MAC team, IMO they are the team at the top of our conference in present times. I'll leave the past in the past.

Overall you have mistaken the fan base. Maybe one or two Rockets here and there but overall you have been getting hammered by NIU fans for that. Remember, the Toledo fans are the ones that have witnessed their team bite and claw to beat Coastal Carolina, EMU, and CMU so we would have had no room to talk about Ohio barely beating anyone.

Four weeks to go and 4 teams in the East are separated by 1 win, should be a great sprint to the finish and any of the 4 could pull it out.

I have always believed this to be THE WORST reasoning in why one team is rated in front of others in sports. Last season doesn't mean squat when it comes to ranking teams.

It would make sense if it were the rule rather than the exception. Unfortunately for anybody that subscribes to that [??]Logic[/??], they are chasing the exception rather than the rule.

Over the last 10 years of MAC Championships, a team has won the MACC in back-to-back seasons one time. I believe that team was QBd by the same player for both of those championships...maybe, maybe not but didn't look that up. Nonetheless, it was an exception. Kent has just as much of an opportunity to win it as anybody...actually they've put themselves in a better position to do so than most. I really don't think any player or coach on Kent's team is going to come into a game and say, "oh, you won the MACC in 2011, 1964, etc. so here's your W."

RE: New MAC Power Rankings
I would say NIU, Toledo, Kent St, Ohio, Bowling Green are capable of winning the MAC. Miami very much in the picture as well. Ohio just didn't have it today. Miami played close to a perfect game and Ohio didn't play anything close to what they are capable of. Ohio still a very good team but made some critical mistakes in the redzone and it cost them big today. Two blown pass coverages early put Ohio behind and a QB forgeting the timout situation at the end of the game. Miami did play a very clean game. They stopped the run and that was the X factor in this one.
