That's not OT...that's the one team that is holding Toledo back from being undefeated.

I can count them on one hand, but they are extremely loyal and long-suffering fans finally seeing something good come to fruition.

All the years of enduring the ESPN Bottom 10 listings and countless at threads about how the MAC could improve itself if it dumped the KSU football program or the people that suggested that we drop down to FCS status because at least we would be competitive..... That all went away today and this feels so much better.
If it can happen at KSU it can happen at any MAC school with the right leadership.

Funny but some of those same fairweather KSU fans that wanted the program shut down and $$$ into basketball are now puffing their chest out the furthest...

You can add my parents. They are University of Florida grads (sad day for them) but they spent the day watching our game since we are in NY. They were really excited for Kent.

Can't blame them for being disheartened after 40 years. Let 'em puff their chests!
It stands as a lesson for those short-sighted folks who'd have us jettison EMU or whoever. Very few times has any MAC team beaten a #15 or better ranked team.

EMU fans are taking note. We last won a MAC championship in 1987.

Despite a poor showing in a game where it was windy and raining fairly hard, Toledo should be ranked with all of the losses from other teams, so the MAC should still have a school ranked. Also, I expect NIU and Kent State to receive quite a few votes and get close to the Top 25.

RE: MACtion Saturday 10/27
In past years, Toledo was often better than their opponents but found ways to lose. Just last year Toledo should have beaten OSU, Syracuse and NIU. This Toledo team can play badly yet still find a way to win. I give credit to Coach Campbell for getting the guys to believe that they will win each and every game. I think that NIU is a better team than Toledo this year but it will be interesting to see if Toledo can pull off a win when the last 2 Toledo teams could not do so.

RE: MACtion Saturday 10/27
Didn't read the whole thread, but congrats to KSU not only for their big win, but on their season in general. I knew they'd be a notch better than their usual bottom-tier teams of yesteryear, but they're really having a hot year. And this makes, what, 8 MAC wins over BCS teams in a single regular season? Is that a record?
I can't say I'm too terribly surprised by Ohio's stumble. I think landing PSU at Week #1 was a stroke of good timing, and they've had a number of very close calls in recent weeks. One of the MAC's best squads, yes. But even at #24 I didn't feel they were near the ranked MAC teams of last decade (Roethlisberger's Miami, Gradkowski's Toledo, Pennington's Marshall, and Dante Love's BSU). Still, OU's having a great season and as a Bronco fan I can only admire and harbor some envy.

I think its been hard being a Miami fan lately, but I can't image being a Bronco fan. Broncos look good on paper and have a senior QB, are good enough to beat anybody in the MAC with their offense, play sharp at times, but never can play consistently. Must be frustrating, but I'd expect nobody in the West looks forward to playing WMU either. Broncos are kind of like Miami right now. We just beat Ohio and now we are 3 point underdogs to a 1-win Buffalo team. Geesh, what a rollercoaster.

RE: MACtion Saturday 10/27
Actually, our senior QB got injured earlier in the season, so we've been going with our junior second-string since the UConn game. But still, yeah, I'm not used to seeing the Broncos look so ugly. Probably the toughest season to watch since our rock bottom 1-10 season in 2004.
