I love the coordinated public response by Aresco to espn's hack job by mcmurphy...it started yesterday with Fowler's article, then the leak about going to the market, an appearance on Sirius today, and this article by the AP that's circulating the country:

Mcmurphy's article is "old" trash now. Aresco's created positive momentum so the public can get back to focusing on the big games we'll be playing this weekend.

Maybe, but there is no reason to say anything publicly about it, at this point. He knows it, and ESPN knows it. Not like it would be a surprise to anybody, lol. Could be construed as not bargaining in good faith, if he says it too early.

I agree I'm just figuring if he's in front of reporters he will be asked? So he has to have some prepared response in mind...not necessarily confirmation though.

Odds are he will say what he's said for the last seven weeks, basically mentioning the long history between ESPN and the BE and that they are hoping to work something out.
