New Waterpark?
City was approached by an out-of-town entity looking at possibly building a new water park where Cohen currently stands.

What!?! A city-owned structure to be torn down for a new attraction, you say?!........ This sounds like a job for Townsend-Allala and Fitbud!

RE: New Waterpark?
I have read conflicting reports. Near Cohen or on the Cohen property? Either way, the City is looking to end the Tiquas lease early. All respect to the tribe, and what they have tried to do, but the new ball club doesn't need 1K or so fans staying in NE instead of the new ballpark.

Agree on all points.

Also read conflicting reports too. How can the ballpark and a water park co-exist? Unless, maybe there is a show, or stands in it somehow.

We'll see.

I've heard rumblings that the Tiguas are behind on paying their taxes and they are having serious thoughts on getting rid of the team. (FWIW, I heard this before AAA came up) Anyone hear the same thing?

I've always believed that El Paso could support a new water park. I grew up near Water King Park on Montana and it was cool. It had an arcade and food court.

When there was talk about tearing down the Sportspark, I thought that would be the perfect place for a water park. There are natural hills there and it's perfectly located near the loop.
