I know that there are large dollars involved and it may be all the league can get at this point but I'd love to see the league move away from these mid-week games. Maybe an occasional Thursday night game but all the others aren't in the best interest of students/athletes and fans. Maybe I underestimate the value of the extra money and exposure. It really has made for some crazy schedules for some Big East teams and it will lead me to miss 2 home games this year.

Doesn't it seem that nothing says "mid-major" more then Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday night games?

I think it hurts attendance. It's tough to go down to a night game on a weeknight - especially if you have to make a long drive.

I think once in a while is ok but not every other week like it seems many are doing.

Did anyone see that Akron-Ohio game last night? If they had 3000 there they were lucky. Weather was a factor, but if that game were played on Saturday the attendance would have been better.

that was a huge crowd compared to the Miami Ohio crowd in the 2nd half there were not more than 50 people and they were from BG in the stands.

i like the midweek games

and why do i like them

it gives your program a chance to be the only thing on tv, you dont' have to compete with other games all across the nation

the entire nation is watching you that night and it is up to your team to produce and play

wvu has used it's midweeks games to it's fullest advantange, in terms of exposure and recruiting

Wish I had the work schedule to do the same. In my profession there's no way I could do it. 4 hours away puts it out of reach.
