Figure H2O will appreciate this. Shawnee had a 3x state champ run this race (IIRC, she ran some national competition).

That's quick.Didn't know Shawnee had any State Champs in x-country. We went twice when I was in school but finished like, 18th and twelfth. Sixteen minutes would be an excellent college time.

There can't be more than 10 posters (male) on this board capable of running a 16 unless there is a big xc/track presence I am unaware of.

My daughter's teammate won the Illinois state XC championship last year in 16:24, which was an Illinois record. Running a 16 flat is amazing.

I know we have three former distance runners for UT on our board but I doubt they could run this time now.'

3 wins at individual level, and she led team to title in 1983 (after 1pt 2nd place finish in 1982).

OK, I remember that- I thought you meant she ran in THIS race. This year. She would have had a pretty long high school career if so.

Aha. I meant this race back in her era.

If I did the math correctly, this equates to about a 16:19 5,000 meter. The U of Toledo record (and MAC record, i believe) is 16:08. The second best Toledo time is by Ari Fisher at 16:24. Ari Fisher is a T&F All-American.
