Big boys float trial balloon rumor, denying 7th Access Bowl & BE
From Card Game:

"McMurphy didn’t bother contacting Mike Aresco, of the Big East, who is confident that a seventh-access bowl would be a huge success."

There is a good point there. ITS NOT FAIR to lock everyone out. Sports are supposed to be about the team, not $$. This is college sports.

There needs to be a difference between college sports and professional sports.

There is...in pro sports, they are upfront about being built around making money. In college sports (well, college football and basketball), they feed you a bunch of BS about being for team, school, and pride even though its all about money and control.

I think if BEast works out deal with ESPIN and Fox, You might start to see the Power 6 mode come back.

Big East fans need to push for congressional hearings. Mitch has already threatened to go this route. I would love to see Slive, Delaney and Swofford swear under oathe that these so-called decisions are not being made to damage The Big East. An anti-trust lawsuit would get the ball rolling. Then discussions about eliminating the tax exempt status of conferences and universities would be next.

McMurphy is an ass puppet. He tweeted a couple of weeks ago that Big East football ins't power 5
because TV deal and revenue sharing ins't strong, so I asked him if Big East basketball was not power 5
nothing no response.

I agree. I also wonder if the BE could sue ESPN and not the other schools if it could be shown that they are the "invisible hand" behind all this. If nothing else, just depose all their executives since I doubt they would want all there communications being made public.
