The "Sweep it under the Rug" Strategy worked for Clinton when the USS Cole was attacked in Yemen less than a month before the 2000 Election.

Look when the attack occurred the administration could've saved face by saying that the consulate had been attacked and details were not clear yet but as soon as it became clear a full report would be given.

Not: It was a youtube video.
Or: It was a spontaneous protest.

The admission of dropping the ball is better than trying to hide the fact you f'ed up.

But then again it occurred on BO's watch, so f*ck those guys that were there right?

Obama went to sleep knowing our people were under attack and did nothing. No response. No send in the marines. No mobilization of any military asset AT ALL. Very presidential. Just run out the re election clock. That's all that matters.

And that's the wrong mindset. As President you should want to defend and help all of your countrymen. Even if they would've gotten there too late, it would've been an effort.

How about you just want to save lives.

That too.. I can't say if they would've beef up security we wouldn't had lost people, it's hard to say. Or if we would've sent in a team we could've saved them. One thing is for sure, doing something is better than sitting on your hands.

What we do know is this: Requests for security was denied numerous times.. We now know that emails were sent about the attack.. The blame has went from a Youtube video to it being called a sponteneous protest to a Blogger saying it was because the CIA had a compound there to Hillary Clinton admitting she didn't do anything to Obama saying it was a terrorist attack.

It's been a total cluster****.

Our administration has failed us yet again.

The proverbial "3:00 AM Phone Call" came. Too bad nobody bothered to pick up the phone.
