I don't want to gloss over the next few years concerning UTEP hoops because i think we are in for some really good times but we should have a hell of a strong team for the 2015-2016 season. You realize the significance if the Miners could pull off the ultimate and win the championship? It would be exactly 50 years since our last one and I wouldn't want anyone else directing our ship than Coach Tim Floyd.

I had this cross my mind a couple of times. But wasn't sure whether to mention it, since there is so much ground to cover, by taking one step at a time.

Nonetheless, I do have these thoughts making me wonder "what if".

Whoa...that's definitely some forward thinking. I do believe, however, that this is will be a great decade for UTEP basketball.

All of this is possible if the following takes place.

1. Tim continues to recruit good players.
2. They buy into his system.
3. Tim decides to stay.

1 and 2 are likely. 3 is a tough call. I don't think Tim would be able to resist millions of dollars offered by another school if he begins to have success.
