The problem with hiring a relative; is how difficult it is to fire them when not performing.

For all of you who didn't want to fire Price two or three years ago consider this...........


We could be in the third year of a rebuilding year with an up and coming coach by now.

Instead, we are looking at two or three more years like this before we get back to bowling.

It's simple math.

From what I understand, and I could be wrong, UTEP could not afford to pay Coach Price's salary AND the new coach's salary. That will not be the case next year.

I don't disagree for Price's last year of his contract. I don't know when they renewed his contract but the guy hasn't had a winning season for some time now.

I jumped off the Mike Price band wagon years ago and vowed never to see another UTEP game until they got rid of them.

Because of pressure from you guys, I relented and bought season tickets.

That's what I get for being a big softy.

WTF do you care? You're a PAC12 fan remember?

Price has an auto-renew for every Bowl game. Which I don't have a problem with, since UTEP has no business firing a coach that just went to a bowl, but nine years ago there wasn't that many bowls.

It just weird that Price's only winning season both 8-4 were with Gary Nord's 2-10 players, Nord's odd first season was the last championship at UTEP.
