RE: Obama's catastrophic plan for Ohio
From the article:
"For example, the state was thrilled in 2009 when a large new Barbasol shaving-cream plant located in the Cleveland exurb of Ashland, Ohio, rather than Syracuse, N.Y. Ashland extended rail, sewer, and road infrastructure out to semi-rural land to service the plant site. Urban-based “smart growth” planners would have forbidden all that as “sprawl,” and Barbasol’s new plant would now be in New York instead of Ohio."
Bear in mind that Ashland Ohio is 66 miles from downtown Cleveland with at least 30 miles of farmland between the Ashland and the outskirts of the Cleveland suburbs.
Thsi doesn't surprise me at all.......Obama and the democrats strongholds are urban cities. Unfortunately, a ton of the money has left these urban centers due to the crime infested sh!tholes they have become and anyone having the wherewithal to escape has been doing so. It's obviously becoming a money grab by including anyone living within an 80 mile radius as being part of "the regional area" and dictating what can be built, etc. from the urban centers and getting all that suburban money back within urban control.

Sure, when urban areas went totally "progressive" they trashed themselves. Cleveland, Detroit, St. Louis are all great examples. Not content to admit their mistakes and move on, no they want to repeat those mistakes. Mostly b/c they're about power and control, not sensible, unobtrusive government. So they want to redefine their boundaries and quite literally utilize an act of war by siezing control of new territory and population.
Think about this, this is no different than any other land grab whether it was by a minor feudal lord, or a major empire.

We know what you mean. Get away from the brown people. Just a thought, would there be that much of a "crime infested sh!thole" if the people actually HAD jobs in these areas instead of pulling business out and leaving the area to die?

And Robert the fool chimes in........Dbag - it's not about skin color, it's about crime. The "Brown folks" (as you call them) that had/have the money leave too. The only ones left in many urban centers are the ones with no way out....... in other words the bums and druggies of any color or ethnicity.
People with money don't stay in a place with worse crime problems and almost invariably higher taxes than surrounding areas.
As Torch said, those remaining and governing in many urban areas trashed their nest, and now for money and power, they want to make their nest bigger so they can Fck it up again.
