Robert, I hate to break this to you, but your politics are not in the mainstream of American political thought.

Speaking of Latin American leftists, today marks the 45th anniversary that the sadist murderer Che Guevara was gunned down and put out of existence. So raise a toast.

But back to the topic at hand: Yeah, it's no surprise ol' Hugo won. Perhaps he won by legit means, perhaps not. Either way, he's mastered the art of class war brilliantly, created his dependency class, and the blow to freedom and rights continue.

However we should recognize that, just like in the Mideast, the US has supported authoritarian, corrupt Latin American leaders in the past, simply because they were "our" authoritarian, corrupt leaders that held communism in check during the Cold War. We weren't too interested on promoting real individual freedom and civil rights, and this has inevitably led to the distrust of politicians that we "promote" down there.

He'll be worm food soon anyways.
