I could see how some his talk would rub the opposition the wrong way, but I thought that was pretty classless from Lembo yesterday

I sure did.....It's up an ESPN3 if anyone wants to check out the last few seconds.

No way to know if it was about DD or not. Could have been Lembo being pissed about a game his team should have won.

thxjnovak, my two hypothesis were either being pissed about the game or being pissed that maybe there was some delay in Coach Doeren getting out there, and that Lembo maybe didnt appreciate having to wait that few extra seconds for the handshake.

Ideally, DD should have had the Bronze Stalk Trophy in his left hand, similar to the Kansas post-game handshake with the "Dog-bone".

We reallly need to throw to the TE's more.

As good as Lynch is, he can't be expected for a miracle every week as defenses will stack the box.

Had the one "play-action" to Eakes for 34 yards. Then nothing more to a TE that I recall.

Oh, and the hurry-up "3rd/4th down and short" QB sneaks are telegraphed and ineffective.

+1

And I am nervous about Tommy Lee.He fumbled last year too. I like Ashford making the returns.
I wonder how long he will be out. Was it an ankle sprain?

hahah that would have been awesome. Maybe a BSU rivalry is actually starting to bud again. I guess that is a good thing considering the game is played for a rivalry trophy.

I'm not worried yet. We need to get one more block and TLL will take it to the house. I see your point though - Toledo hasn't had good kick coverage (Tommy Davis ran one back against them in 2010 also), I think it's more a matter of blocking and how good the coverage is. TLL is the best we got for taking advantage of running room, though Ashford is probably better at shrugging off ankle tackles or arm tackles.

Whoever said the hurry up sneaks are ineffective is just flat out wrong. We've been running those for 2 years now and that was the first time I can remember one ever not working.

Guilty.

I made a blanket statement and was really frustrated at our ineptness on 3rd down yesterday.

Yesterday we took waayyyy too long to snap the ball. So in effect, catching the defense off-guard did not happen.

I stil cannot believe Lynch was stopped on a 4th and inches, I thought that was game.set.match.

Yeah I didn't think I'd ever see the day that it happened.

71 Attempts? Good lord....

My guess would've been about 50 throws, 71 is unbelievable though.

I guess when all of NIUs 5 TD drives only take 6:30 off the clock (that's right average TD drive was about 1 minute and 18 seconds), we just don't control the clock and give the other team additional opportunities. I'll take the quick scores though.
