Mason Cup Going To The Big 10?
What will happen to the Mason Cup?

In a respectful gesture Pletsch said he has even reached out to the Big Ten about possibly donating the trophy to the league that ultimately led to the CCHA’s demise.
“If they wanted it we would consider donating it to them,” he said.

I mean, i guess it makes sense, since they're going to have the highest concentration of former CCHA teams, and it's named after an MSU coach. They damn well better not take our name off of it though.

Actually, the new WCHA will have 4 ex-CCHA teams and The Big Ten will have 3.

Just a thought, but how about we win it again this year and when they ask for it back, we say we lost it as our last F U to the big ten for starting this whole mess. However, i really don't care where the thing ends up, i just care whose name is listed under the 2012-2013 season.

Actually, if you read the article carefully, there are TWO Cups. One sits in the CCHA office.

If you want to donate one to the B1G, who cares? Just let the team which wins this last CCHA tourney keep it. I want to see it on permanent display at Lawson.
