"He might or might not take an official visit to the school he is actually commited to".

Seems like he is checking out every school except Pitt...

I don't subscribe. Anyway, you can post the content? Seems like the comments were the words, observations, of the ND writer. Not a direct quote from the kid himself. Some of these recruiting articles you need to be a bit circumspect on.

“I’m still looking at Wisconsin,” Clement said. “I might (take an official) to Pittsburgh but I might not, it depends on the dates".

Sorry, didn't realize it was an insider aritcle...

Ok, thanks. See it doesn't sound so bad to me. The program needs to compete for and land highly competitive recruits. Even if it appears a bit distasteful. You can't have half a class of guys with nothing but MAC offers.

I would say this, they need to get an in home visit with him when he is done 'visiting' others. Isn't this a kid that wants to enroll in January? I'm not ready to go totally negative on him yet.

Yes, he is a January enrollee, which is huge. I want him too... if he is here for spring ball he would more than likely contribute next season. I also realize it is his freedom to visit everywhere and in that situation I would more than likely do the same thing so I'm not going negative. Just saying that since he's is taking all these visits and now doesn't even know if he is interested in visiting Pitt, it doesn't look good for our chances of him actually attending Pitt.

RE: Corey Clement
Of course the alternative is that he knows what Pitt has to offer already and just doesn't need to visit.

I'm not saying you're wrong. You might well be right. I'm choosing to be more optimistic and following lutz's view for example. Be curious to find out when he intends to bring things to a close. Peak still seems positive for Pitt.

I certainly hope you are both right. If we could get him, Chapman, DJ and one of the two major WR's then this class would be awsome!

I'm not ready to give up on Clement either. It could be that the kid wants to use his visits for the sake of them to attend games for free. Who knows when dealing w/ 17/18 y/o kids.

RE: Corey Clement
No doubt if I was 18 years old and Wisconsin / Nebraska and Notre Freaking Dame wanted to give me sideline passes for free and let me party with their players with the possibility of getting drunk and laid by college chicks... I would have signed up for every trip I could.
