I believe the rain the entire game had something to do us both looking bad. Had it not rained the turnovers would have been less no doubt. Even USM vs Louisville looked like our game and it was raining harder in MS.

Oh yeah. No doubt about it.

But our passing is indeed ridiculously atrocious. Sad thing is, we have talent at WR and RB, but we don't have a QB that can consistently deliver the ball accurately, and our play calling is more than suspect at times.

At this point, I'm ready to give our 3rd stringer a shot. He can't be any worse than what we've seen thus far.

My personal opinion from the game was that the kids from South put up a good fight and never gave up even in the midst of many unforced mistakes. While Troy made many mistakes of their own, they were able to take advantage of some of those Jag turnovers and penalties while South was not. This wasn't really a game where either team can boast a whole bunch over. I had a good time with the family in Mobile, and I'm sure the games will get much more competitive over the coming years.

Naw, I've meant everything I've said thus far. I was surprised yalls defense was able to slow us down from time-to-time, which I respected. However, we dominated yall for the most part and everything I said about how you guys looked terrible was accurate.

And concerning the South fans who were drinking their own koo-aid, I am happy they were brought down a notch or two. Everyone knew (including folks in your own fanbase) that yall were going to struggle, but many in Mobile were bragging. My wife and inlaws are from Mobile so I had to hear it all the time.

If Troy had not turned the ball over and scored when we were in the red zone the score might have been 50-10. But if USA had played without penalties and turnovers and Troy played like they did it would have been VERY close.

This. It was an embarrassing game for both teams that ended with the expected result.

I don't know if it was "embarressing" for Troy. We did turn the ball over way too much, but that has been the story all year long. Aside from the turnovers we looked pretty solid.

You had 10 penalties to our 15 and 5 turnovers.

Other than our 15 penalties, inept offense and 4 turnovers we looked solid too 03-drunk

I know Troy is better than they showed Saturday and I would be embarrassed anytime my team performed below their capability.

Shoot, we've done MUCH better this season with the number of penalties than we have in the past few years.

Ah, now your statement makes much more sense to me. When I read your statement re: "smack talk" from USA fans, I assumed you meant on here and all I could think about was "What? Which USA fan has come on here with rose-colored glasses who wasn't being tongue-in-cheek about it?"

04-cheers

It's all good man. Yeah I had to listen to a bunch of USA fans down in Mobile talk about how they were all that and a bag of chips. They went on and on about how they were going to whup Troy and used their record thus far to justify that belief. It was very annoying.
