Not Big East but important: Time Warner, NFL Net agree to terms
Per Sports Business Journal and others. Bright House will have the channel too as Time Warner manages contract negotiations for them. Starts next week for games with NFL Network on digital basic, Red Zone this Sunday.

And that sound you hear is the DirecTV dish coming off my house. No Pac-12 net? Good bye.

OK, fine. To make it Big East and CFB related, you may see more hits to Thursday CFB ratings now. I didn't even bother changing the channel over to BYU-Boise even with the Giants in blowout mode knowing that the other game was a snoozer. And now with four weeks of Pac-12 Thursday nights coming up, the NFL game will have a good 1/2 hour advantage on the CFB game on ESPN b/c those games will not start until 9pm ET / 6pm PT.

EDIT: Not just the lack of Pac-12 Net is my problem with DirecTV. Where I live my internet service is AT&T DSL and I can only get it at a basic speed. U-Verse is not available and I would only be able to get ESPN3/Watch ESPN with Time Warner with a cable subscription. Now there's virtually no barrier for me.

Doesn't say if it's coming to basic cable, or if you need to purchase the Sports Tier.

Strictly out of curiosity, I wonder if the BEast would even put in a phone call to Goodell about NFLN making a play for all or part of the BEast contract.

FWIW, I'm a Brighthouse customer and have never seen a single minute of NFL Network programming.

Aresco already mentioned NFLN as a possible suitor, back when he first got the job.

Aha, then I'm a genius. That, or someone who should read more. Probably the latter.

I'll answer my own question.

John Ourand‏@Ourand_SBJ

NFL Network will be on Time Warner Cable's digital basic tier. NFL RedZone will be on the sports tier.

Tell me where the Big Ten Network is on Dish. I want all my options open, and BTN was pulled from Dish last week.

Besides, I'm still in the same spot with internet. No ESPN3 option if I dump AT&T DSL.
