Sat next to some BYU fans last night. They did say BYU is down this year in the QB position, which is affecting their overall offense. But they do contend their D is as good as its been for many years. I also think their running game is off this year. Alisa is decent, but last couple of years they've had better running backs.

IMHO we should have won this game by considerably more. Our offense isn't anywhere near what it needs to be and suspect we will see Coach Pete make some changes. I don't know if that means a change up at QB, but I do think we'll see something! Coach Pete has to recognize that there are problems (QB, Play Calling, something) and he won't just sit back and do nothing.

The ones I talked with said they are happy being independent. .... For now.

But I have other BYU friends (not at the game last night) who are hoping they end up in a good conference.

Thanks for sharing. Boise was clearly the better team, but boy was it close. It never should have come down to a 2 point conversion. The offense likely will be more efficient in completing drives as they get more experience later in the year.

And it will help that we are now moving into the soft part of our schedule.

I had a great time with BoiseAlum at the game and also meeting BroncoFan78 and his wife. I even got my picture taken with the Blue Elvi. It was awesome.

After the game, BoiseAlum and I celebrated the victory at Busters. The fries were great, but the blue and orange jello shooters were awful.

This. I know a lot of traditionalist don't like the non-green turf. I was one of those when I first moved to Boise in 92. But whether you hate it or love it, you have to admit that the Blue turf has become iconic for Boise St football. Much like the Green Monster, or the Hedges, or the Green Jacket. While I'm still a traditionalist for most things college football, I wouldn't give up the blue for anything!

TOGC... Enjoyed the game and celebrating. But glad I didn't try those jello shooters!!!
