I'm anxious to know what the Card fans who frequent this board and went the game yesterday thought of the game, the atmosphere, and Morgantown in general. I hope you had a good experience, despite the outcome of the game.

Some comments from one UL poster on the Rivals board that I thought were very encouraging:

"Just got back in town from the WVU game.

We tailgated for four hours before the game right in the middle of a couple hundred WVU fans. They are as a whole the rowdiest and loudest fans I have encountered at a football game, but of what must have been hundreds of WVU fans we interacted with, yelled at, you name it, they were pretty much all good sports and were very nice.

After the game there was pretty much non stop yelling by the WVU fans and students, (I'll be surprised if anyone in Morgantown has any voice left this morning.) but again when we interacted with their fans (and we did stay around for a while) they were once again very nice, loud as hell, but In my opinion not crossing the line of being asses.

I'm absolutely sick about losing this game and the way we lost it, but if I can put that out of my mind for moment I would say I really liked the WVA fans we met and the high energy semi-crazy atmosphere before during and after the game.

Yes, there were a few jerks in the crowd after the game, but they were very small minority of the WVA fans and didn’t phase me or my friends one bit.

This is why we joined the Big East. I'll take a stadium full of crazed mountaineer fans screaming their heads off over a 1/3 capacity crowed of disinterested loser fans at a CUSA away game any day.

That game and atmosphere is what top notch, important collage football game is supposed to be like between two national powers."

The game atmosphere was fine, but I was with my brother who has two kids the ages of 9 and 10 and I heard some of the worst language I've heard in my life. I know my brother was heated, he said he wasn't ever going back, which I understand. You would think that adults would have a little bit of respect, but I guess that is the way things our with emotional individuals. As far as the game atmosphere I have no complaints, the only problem I had was with a few people trying to threatening us, but other than that I guess I would rate my experience a C.
