alrighty. We've just had a big weekend of conference games. Where do we stand?

1. WVU

We should be favorited in all 4 of our remaining games. That doesn't by any means guarantee anything. USF in particular has me worried, and Pitt will save their best for the Backyard Brawl. But I think WVU is the clear favorite now to with the BE.

2. UL

I don't see the Cardinals losing another game all year, including their bowl.

3. Rutgers

You have to give it to the Scarlet Knights. They put it to an improved Pitt team, and then dismantled Syracuse. I think the Rutgers/UL game actually could be very interesting.

4. Pitt

Now 2-1 in the league, and starting to come alive. I think they will be very dangerous the 2nd half of the season.

5. USF

Win over UL looking more and more like a fluke, although they have a chance to get right back in it next week against WVU.

6. UCONN

Shocking loss today, but the injuries are a huge problem.

7. Cincy

I didn't think the Bearcats would get to 3 wins this year.

8. Syracuse

The bottom has fallen out on the Orange. 9 fumbles, 5 of them lost today against Rutgers at home. Only win is over Buffalo, correct? Yikes.

1. WVU
2. UofL
3. Rutgers
4. Pitt
5. USF
6. UC - by virtue of beating UCONN. UCONN may be better than UC with their starting QB, but they don't have him at this time.
7. UCONN
8. Syracuse

The Bearcats are clearly ahead of Uconn. Yesterday wasn't UC getting lucky in a last second win. It was a dominating effort by the Bearcats on both sides of the ball. WVU,UL,Rutgers,Pitt,South Fl,UC,Uconn,SYracuse. Who has Uconn really beat this year?

While I expect things to change and by change I mean Rutgers and UL switching spots but this is how it stacks up right now:

1) WVU
2) Rutgers
3) UL
4) Pitt
5) UConn
6) USF
7) Cincy
8) Syracuse

Actually I just won't believe we're in second place unless we run the table the rest of the way. If we do that hello Gator Bowl for us, and that would be fantastic.

1)WVU
2)UL
3)Rutgers
4)Pitt
5-7)USF, UCONN, AND UC
8)Syracuse

I think UL is clearly the most talented team in the league. They just don't seem to be putting it together.

Most of ur teams are young, so they have trouble on the road. Except for WV 3-0 and Rutgers 2-1, all of our teams have LOSING records on the road;
Louisville 1-2
UConn 1-2
Pitt 0-2
Cin 0-3
USF 0-3
Syracuse 0-2
at home;
Cincy 3-0
UConn 3-0
USF 3-0
Louisville 3-0
West Virginia 3-1
Rutgers 2-1
Pitt 3-2
Syracuse 1-3

1. West Virginia- Only loss was by 17 to a Top 5 Virginia Tech team. Comeback agaisnt UL took some guts. This looks like the team to beat.

2. Louisville- 0-2 in the Big East...but they've shown they have the talent. Could lose another game down the stretch, but should go bowling.

3. Rutgers- This team seems to be a bad second half team...until last week. Good enough to go to a bowl, needs to beat Navy.

4. UConn- Not sure what to think of this team. Shocked they lost to the Bearcats. Have shown they can be competitive..but needs to hold it together. They have some very tough games ahead.

5. Pitt- Has been getting better as the year goes on...but with Louisville and West Virginia on the schedule, probably won't see a bowl this year.

6. Cincinnati- Improved play+Young team+Good coaching staff=Bright future. Will be a Big East title contender in 2007.

7. USF- Louisville win was not a fluke. The problem is that teams have figured out how to stop USF...stack the line, make Julmiste pass, and USF is screwed. NEEDS better QB play if they want to win another game this year. If improvment comes at QB, then I would put them at 4th and a bowl game...but that is a big if. Key stat of Pitt game: 21 points of turnovers for Pitt, 0 for USF

8. Syracuse- What is the deal? Their offense can't get it goin. Offensive Coordinator should be nervous right about now. SU has high standards and will not tolerate failure.
