No shock to any one who pays attention. He's all about spreadin the wealth around.

13 years ago. Really? Go ahead, have the Chinese give Sheldon Adelson another billion dollars to go spend on anti-Obama ads to spread the word....its not going to move the needle. Or get off the arrogant and misleading comments Romney said three months ago.

His views haven't changed. The tape just reenforced what most already know about him.

But it helps strengthen the narrative Obama wants to take from producers and give to those who don't thus creating a permanent dependent class.

So actually focusing on the issues is now called "deflection"?

Wow, Orwell would even be shocked.

Of course you do.

It reenforced a narrative, just like the Romney video. In the end neither will move the needle. It's all noise until the debate.

It's not necessarily deflection but there is a bit of desperation in there. For 5+ years now, we have known that Obama believes in redistribution of wealth. That's been enough time for people to declare it important or not and whether they are for it or not. There's no shock and without shock there's no news, there's no outrage. There's just empty hope that this story can latch on and take some heat off of Romney.

It's stupid. Most Republicans believe in redistribution of wealth. Any government taxation and spending is redistribution. It's not even controversial, and the video is 14 years old. Nice try Rmoney.

For the first time we agree. It's nothing to even get mad about right now.

Obama told Joe the Plumber in 2008 ""when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody." Good for Everybody except whose wealth is being spread around.

Yes, Romney believes in redistribution

Quote:Mitt Romney, like pretty much every other American politicians, believes in redistribution. Specifically, the “issues” section of his Web site says he believes in a progressive tax code, the Medicare program, the Medicaid program, the food stamp program, the Social Security program and pretty much every other feature of the federal government that’s involved in redistributing income.

And as my colleague Greg Sargent points out, just yesterday, Romney said, “I believe America was built on the principle of government caring for those in need, but getting out of the way and allowing free people to pursue their dreams.”

Did you even read the unbolded part of that quote?

of course he didn't Smaug.... He ignored that "minute" of the speech that wasn't there during the quotation.

Again, Romney's not my ideal candidate, but right now it'll come down to him or Johnson when I vote...

Not at all. Robin Hood was defending the rule of law from corrupt usurpers.

Care to fail again?

Is "corrupt usurpers" the new name for the GOP?
