LOL
If you posted "Where's the DEFENSE" after every blown play and "Great Throw Taylor" after every great throw against New Hampshire, you'd never be off of the keyboard.

RE: NEXT: New Hampshire
On a more optimistic note, the team made many what could be lethal mistakes, and we still won. If we can play so poorly on defense and still win the game, then maybe things are not so bad. Lets face it, chances are that we wont make that many mistakes in a single game again this year, or at least I hope not. Im going to say that this game was an anomaly for both teams defensively. They should never give up 64, and we should never give up 61. Are both defenses really that bad, probably not. So now we are 4-0, which means that we are 3 wins away from "qualifying" for the playoffs. I see us winning against Richmond, Villanova, Ga. State and WM with no serious problems. That leaves Towson and Delaware before the JMU game. At worst we should be looking at 8-2 going into the final weekend. We should have no problem getting to the dance. Hopefully we can get in as a seeded team.

Saying "So and so is a complete bonehead" is probably crossing the line.

Nick Mayer made an error in judgement when he tried to field the ball among several UNH defenders.

Alex Arain is a senior yet he continues to make unacceptable personal fouls that keep opponents drives alive.

Coach Wilder pulled him for several series before inserting him late in the game.

I was in attendance yesterday and in Alex's defense, on the play that i think you are refering to the guy went after his knees well after the play was over. Unfortunately for him, its always the second guy who gets caught.

Dude...I'm well rested.

Post whatever you want. I'm just saying I don't get it. I understand people follow games and whatnot differently.

While I concur with the sentiment that our defense nor special teams were particularly special, I am not in favor in attacks against our players, coaching staff, and fans. Play-calling criticism is one thing, but the name-calling and firing talk has to stop.

I have deleted a multitude of posts from multiple posters to clean up this thread. For those whose posts were deleted, this is your only warrning from me. I understand game-time emotion, and can get as frustrated as many of you when our performances do not meet expectations, but as long as I am moderator, I will not put up with the CAA-zone crap in a thread that parents, spouses, and recruits read.

If you have any questions, PM me. If you choose to give me a public criticism on this action, you will get time off of these boards.

BTW, for all the negative posts, it was an absolutely tremendous performance from Heinicke. He and the offense were special. Defense and ST look to have a hard week ahead of them.

Deleting "personal attacks" are one thing but deleting a post about calling for someone to improve the defense or look for a new job is something else.

I am withing my right on this board to suggest such a thing as long as there is no name calling or board violations involved in said post.

I've raised many questions both before this season and during the UNH game about whether coach dee is the right guy for the job.

I still feel the same way, that he was a high school coach who may be in over his head as an defensive coordinator in the CAA.

I'm not calling for his head right now, but I AM raising the possibility that if things don't improve over the next couple of weeks, he may in fact need to go.

We are going "all in" this season looking to win a national championship and we can't allow terrible defensive play calling, the type that would allow 61 points to a good but not GREAT UNH offensive, to keep us from getting there.

I agree, personal attacks have no place on this new board. But again, we should have every right to question whether he is the guy for the job.

I was one of the first to question whether Rondeau should keep his job after the Ga State debacle. I said he should be fired. Quite a few ODU posters told me to "shut up" and that I was "clueless".

I see this as much along the same lines. Don't delete posts that do not violate any rules of this board simply because you happen to disagree with them.

You are a moderator, not a dictator and you should not be editing posts that do not violate any rules simply because YOU might happen to disagree with them.

Out of smitty's post, this is what is important to me...why isn't the above thread not stickied in our sub-forum? I find this completely unacceptable and heads need to roll..... 05-stirthepot

RE: NEXT: New Hampshire
So defense was terrible, offense was great. Enough to win the game.

We have to stop the penalties/dumb plays. Mayers got lucky that he was given a TD and also had no business trying to receive that punt. He really stepped up to make up for it, but that's not always going to be the case.

Arain/Saylor have to cut the crap. Those guys are committing 15 yarders every game and they are upper classman.

Our secondary......I thought it was loaded. Part of the problem is our ends are not creating a ton of pass rush, but still, we have to improve the secondary.

I read on a thread that they will be replaying the game on tv. Does anyone remember when they will be showing it? I can not find it.

Watching the replay now... Forgot how painful the first half was.

We need a catchy defense chant. Do it.
