I'm so glad we're out of the recession, everyone has a job and the economy is booming. Praise be Obama.

Obama isn't fixing the Republican Recession fast enough. Hey, let's give the keys back to the Republicans!

So, we've gone from "Yes we can!" to "What the hell did you expect? Nobody could do this!"

Way to inspire, Mr. Commander-in-Chief.
Actually, it has come to a slow process forward because the Republicons won't let him do his damn work and no, we don't want the Republicons to get the keys back. I hate breathing dirty air and drinking polluted water.

So, working with the other guy is a one-way street. Gotcha. He's the first president to have a hostile congress to deal with. Gotcha.

And it's always funny when you throw some ridiculous extreme out there to bolster your already feeble point.

Let's see, if the Democrats sweep in November, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid will dance naked on a Bible while they clean out my 401K to give to a pregnant crackhead.

Hey, this is a fun game! Anyone can play! COGS

What happened to all of the homeless people that Bush created? *Poof* gone like magic once Obama was inagurated.

Where are they now?

Why don't we have news stories about them since we have high unemployment and massive forclosures?

Is this just a Republican issue?

If you don't like dirty air and polluted water then buy an air purifier and water filter. You'll need them as much if Obama gets reelected as you will if the republicans take over.

Two factual problems with your comment:
1. Democrats controlled both houses by sizable margins during Obama's first two years, to the extent that republicans could do absolutely nothing to affect the course of legislation for a substantial portion, and Obama didn't get it done now.
2. Nobody wants dirty air and dirty water.

the senate was close. the difference is that the dems are a big tent versus the westboro baptist ideological of the gop.

you can "female dog" about obamacare - but at least it was a baby step towards a fundamental problem with security for all Americans.

A job/income is critical - but so is access to healthcare.

A few weeks ago Yahoo had an article where the owner of Ty beanie babies gave $20K to a woman begging on the streets of Santa Barbara, trying to raise money for a medical tourism procedure not available in the US.

I lauded the guy for his generosity, but no one criticized the 44 year old woman for not having $20K of resources somewhere available. She was very cute despite arms covered in tattoos, and working as an artist in an extremely high cost of living area. Seems to me she made decisions in her life that got her where she was. Why does society suddenly owe her?

Obama only had a filibuster-proof Senate majority for four months. Al Franken wasn't seated immediately because Norm Coleman demanded a recount, and then when Ted Kennedy died he was replaced by Scott Brown. And even for those four months, he couldn't do anything to the left of the most conservative Democrat, which for instance is why Obamacare didn't have a public option (ie Lieberman killed it).

You may not WANT those but those will be what you get if Romney and the anti-regulation crowd gets power. Your(and 'Fo's) idea that the market will keep them polluting when regulations are relaxed is naive at best.

Just a friendly jab there. Seriously though, you say the Republicans won't let Obama do his job. Would you then admit that the Democrats prevented Bush from doing anything in the final two years of his presidency?

What things did you have in mind?

The situation is the same, however Democrats at the time controlled both the House and Senate whereas Republicans only control the House now. Due to this Obama is still able to keep numerous bill passed by the House from reaching a vote on the Senate floor. Another marked difference is the Democrats owning the Senate allows Obama to ram through whatever kind of executive order he wants without too much backlash.

1) In those years (07 and 08) Reid and Pelosi were in charge of the budget, and in 2009 cut Bush out completely with the continuing resolutions and omnibus bills. Obama claims to have inherited a mess from Bush but it was really from his own party.

2) Bush asked Congress to look into Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae 17 times, Barney Frank blocked it.

Those are just two somewhat debatable topics that show the end of this presidential term is no different than the end of Bushs'. When the two parties are soo far off, there is little chance of compromise. Change must be small and incremental. I have a feeling Romney is banking on the change we have so far from Obama has done more damage than good in the short term, and swing voters and independents will return to the Republicans this time.

I think one reason the democrats were so ready to pick up the obstruction argument against republicans is that they realized they were guilty of precisely the same thing in the last two years of Shrub's presidency. Remember, republicans were being accused of obstruction even when the headcounts in both houses were such that Obama could have rammed through anything he wanted without a single republican vote.

You know, "He who protests most loudly is usually the guilty one."

Hey retard - consider that air is a non-confined gas, free to roam the world... if we run the "dirty air" coal burners out in exchange for expensive and inadequete solar and wind, guess who burns the coal for pennies on the dollar?

The Chinese don't use coal scrubbers or any other anti-pollution methods because they don't care.

Chinese power becomes $0.05/KW/Hr and American power becomes $0.40/KW/Hr. Guess who gets the jobs? Guess who imports and who exports? You are truely clueless and should be slapped with a wet noodle.
