I see what you did there. Rainbow... leprechaun... Irish.... pot of gold.... very clever!

Are you guys getting much coverage on ESPN in your regions for the games themselves?

Now I realize their presentations may be regionalized. Where I live they are playing a lot of Big Ten games in the earlier slots. So much so that the Big Ten network didn't even have a game to televise for the 11 am slot.

There has been at least one ACC game in all 3 East-coast time slots (noon, 3 pm, 6 pm) every week. ACC coverage of games has been excellent this season. FSU in particular has been televised nationally in prime time for the last 5 weeks in a row.

I think the gripe is all in the way ESPN commentators push the SEC so much.

ESPN the magazine is doing an entire special issue on LSU vs Alabama.

Well, for the non-SEC viewpoint regarding the SEC there is this from NDNation:

Of course, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

The irony of anyone connected with ND whining about media bias.

It's ND Nation. Actually, Mike Coffey, whose handle is El Kabong is one of the saner voices over on that board.

Cheers,

Jesse Palmer: It's important to point out this is not a sellout crowd here tonight so there is really not a home field advantage if you're Miami. Logan Thomas can use the hard count to his advantage playing on the road. Not too often you can say that.

David Pollack: That was kind... "Not a sellout?"

Rece Davis: Plenty of good seats still available if you're driving around.

ESPNU College Football Podcast .... Ivan Maisel's main thoughts of ND's move to the ACC is that this officially marks the beginning of irrelevance for ND,

Yup... ND is irrelevant. They will never have a top 5 team, or a shot at playing in a national championship game. Nobody watches them.

Now Auburn on the other hand.........

Half time of VT-Miami. About 10 seconds of the game. And nowwwwwwwww we're on to one giant Bama-LSU circle jerk.

Amazing! After the mandatory Alabama/LSU plugs, they hyped the SC/Clemson game, they discussed Maryland football, and they even plugged Pitt at Notre Dame (which is on NBC, for crying out loud!). What planet am I on?

The pageantry of the SEC is a lot better than their football.
Sizzle sells!

The pageantry of Honey Boo Boo sells too.

I would imagine Honey Boo Boo's family are all huge Jawja Boodawg fans.

And today's ESPNU podcast is entirely devoted to Alabama vs LSU. "The game of the year".

On an unrelated note, Maisel got a flu shot and now is flu-ish. Glad I'm not the only one that happens to. They load the flu shot up with so little vaccine and so much adjuvant that my immune system goes crazy. I stopped getting flu shots a few years ago.

Haltime of GT-Tulane. What do you think we'll see on "The ACC Network" on ESPN3?

Yep, you guessed it -- Kentucky All-Access. I'm not kidding. Most of halftime was one giant Kentucky show.

I am literally watching Cal ... sitting in a diner ... making plays with fans with ketchup and mustard bottles. WTF is this BS?

On the ESPNU CFB podcast, Maisel had the ACC as one of his 3 down and openly wondered if the ACC should go the way of the Big East and be removed from the Big 5 and we should only have a Big 4.

Who were the other 2 that were down?
Why not suggest the same thing for those?

They were teams. Three down is three things sucking. Don't have to be conferences, but can be.
