I think the UCF and USF game next year will be really good both teams bring back alot of players and UCF is gaining some faith in themselfs. Good Luck to both teams the rest of this year.

Man CUSA sucks. I think top 4 teams in the BE would manhandle any of those CUSA teams this year. They are all very balanced because they all suck.

ECU might just be one of the better teams there this year, thanks to UCONN's old coach from D1AA. [/quote]
Thanks for the support, I think. If you consider WVU one of your top four, and you should, I don't think beating ECU 20-15 at home would be considered manhandling.

Compared to their own standards, yes, I agree. However, the standards are different. Not by the gap of the SEC compared to CUSA, but they are different.

The BE has 2 Top 25 teams this week, and 4 in the Top 39 in Harris Poll, which is 1/3 of the BCS standings. That's not near enough to be satisfied with however.

CUSA: They gave votes to 42 teams, none of them from CUSA. That is what I was referring to yesterday in that I think yesterday is not a good day for that league.

As for non-BCS in general among the 42 to get any Harris votes:

TCU- 27th w/ 93 votes
Fresno- 31st w/ 28 votes
Toledo- 4 way T-39th w/ 1 vote

I saw your thread you started on your board and I do agree with what someone said, that it is nice that pretty much every coach (maybe not the Owls coach) can recruit this winter by saying that they are only a handful of players from winning the league with that much parity.

I see the immediate downside as stronger in that unless UTEP, UAB, or USM win out or only lose 1 more, no one will be close to being ranked. I know none of you would be happy w/ that.

Lets try Louisville vs ECU then. Or even UConn vs ECU. Or a rematch with WVU, road or home.

Meaning what...that UCF can't evaluate talent?
The staff (Kruszek's) for that recruiting year got fired, and replaced with O'Leary 'n Co. The old staff also heavily UNDER-recruited linemen; after cleaning house, I believe O'Leary only had like a total of 10 linemen (both O and D) on scholarship when he arrived. In the old staff's defense, though, the year of Hall's recruitment they had two heavily recruited RB verbals that never signed/failed to qualify.

UCF's YOUNG team is getting comfortable from the transition of high flying to balanced.

Kinda like my other favorite league. However, the one GOOD team in the BE will show itself in the next two weeks - I hope!
I believe you are mistaken. USF completely destroyed the team that just whupped up on Memphis. WVU and UL have already shown themselves to be good teams. WVU has an impressive road win over probably bowl-bound Maryland, and UL has blowout victories against two probably bowl teams, Oregon State and North Carolina. And UCONN - with their demoltion of SU this weekend - is clearly a contender as well. The BE has 4 excellent teams at the top, at one other in Rutgers that could contend for a bowl game. SU, Pitt and Cincy are disappointing this year, but SU and Pitt have shown flashes of improvement. Pitt nearly beat Nebraska in Lincoln (something #13 Texas Tech barely managed to do), and SU played very well against UVA.

There are no teams in the CUSA right now that would threaten the Top 4 in the BE. Tulsa - a team that Minnesota absolutely humiliated on national TV - handily defeated USM on the road this weekend. Houston was rolled over by Oregon. UAB edged a 1-aa team by a touchdown. UTEP is the ONLY team in CUSA that might have a chance to finish 5th in the Big East.
You misunderstood me. I was not comparing the leagues; that is like picking a Mythological NCAA champion with computers and point systems. My point is I think both league races are wide open and I hope the Mountaineers step it up the next two weeks and take the thing.
