There were at least 4 teams ahead of WV that lost this week. Could be as many as 6. That should put them right around #24 or 25. Louisville also should crack top 20 with a couple of teams ahead of them losing. Im anxious to see how it plays out. Uconn may receive a few votes as well.

A lot of things SHOULD happen, including what you suggest. Sadly, many of them don't. Don't forget the media hates us.

No, West Virginia was too far down in the 'others receiving votes' category to vault into the Top 25.

The Eers will probably move up to second or third in the 'others receiving votes' category and I expect UConn will finally get in there with a vote or two.

Louisville will probably jump up to 20 or 21 with its blowout win over UNC.

Cheers,
Neil

UofL unfortunately will not move up much at all. Looking at the Coaches and Harris, we currently are #22/#23:

Of Top 25 teams to lose, we won't pass Ohio St or Tennessee. I'd be surprised if we pass #9/#10 Cal since they lost to a ranked UCLA on the road.

We should pass #14/#13 Wisconsin. ASU was #20 in both so we clearly pass them. #24/#21 Michigan was ahead of UofL in the Harris and will surely drop out. However, the bad part of being at the bottom of the Top 25 as that they seem to like just "switching team names among B-10 or SEC schools" when you are #22 and a Big 10 #21 loses to #26. Thus, you may see #26/#27 Minnesota leapfrog the Cards. Same with Oregon possibly but I think they stay behind us.

I say UofL goes from #22/#23 to 20th in both.
-----------------------

A TON of teams between UofL & WVU lost.

WVU is #33/#30 right now. I suspect they'll move from 33rd to 26th in the Coaches.

In the Harris, they are 30th and 5 of the 6 teams between the Cards and Mounties lost. However, Colorado was right behind WVU and I say they may well pass WVU due to a crushing of TA&M today & BE bias. I will say Colorado jumps them and WVU is 26th in Harris as well.
