Exclamation ODU and NSU agree to 2-game series
Well, we now have two games scheduled for next season. The series starts in 2013 at Dick Price

So that's at least 1 MEAC team per year for the next 3.

2013: @ Norfolk State
2014: vs. Hampton (we were trying to move this to 2013)
2015: vs. Norfolk State

Good to get another game inked for next season. Hopefully more regional opportunities for 2013 games will open up, although I'm expecting at least a few travel-inconvenient FBS away games. BW is making moves to secure the validity of next season, and that's an excellent sign.

An obvious act of goodwill. However, I will reserve judgement until we see the final schedule for next season. It's a good move if we are split 6 home & 6 away. Otherwise, I think it's a mistake to start at Price.

I could see an issue with playing at Price first if we end up getting a lot of help from CUSA for 2014 with our schedule. More than likely that help will be away games at CUSA members. But we have to assume they know what they're doing. But I do like the 2 game series with NSU, great for the area.

Are you guys going to be FBS next year? Any FBS OOC opponents scheduled?

We are at year 1 of the transition period next year (where South Alabama was last year). Right now only 2 games are scheduled; Vs. Charlotte and at Norfolk State.

So two FCS programs and a CUSA slate? Or are those the only games scheduled? Will you guys be in CUSA next year?

those are the only games scheduled. There's virtually no chance we play a CUSA schedule next year. Our plan was to join CUSA in 2015, but a press release last week moved that to "TBD" so we may play a full CUSA schedule in 2014 while being ineligible for the championship.

The return game at Foreman is actually in 2015

It's a tough situation because we will still be an FCS team, technically. FBS teams are only allowed to play one FCS team, so it really doesn't make sense for them to play the FCS team that has an FBS roster.

Hopefully we'll find somebody, though. I'm not really getting my hopes up for anything more than a Kent State or Bowling Green type team. And even that would be a welcome opponent given the circumstances.

In an article a few weeks ago, we had a deal with i believe Akron but that fell through. So that kinda shows who we are trying to play.

I know that they are working on getting a deal with NC State but it has been described as an uphill battle at this point even though we have some pretty strong ties in their AD.
