i just don't know what to say. big east is terrible. syracuse , cinci, and pitt are horrible. rutgers is rutgers. the jury is still out on wv, uconn, louisville, and usf. our ooc against bcs teams are horrid. i just don't know.....i mean it seems that no matter what whether wv beats louisville or louisville beats wv, the preception of the conference is laughable.

As bad as the perception of the league is this yr...it was worst last yr...as for Rutgers...this may be the best RU team of our lifetime...wasn't to long ago that WVU beat them 40-0 at their place...they played a competitive game today and should go to a bowl
-- Don't get too down on the league....the old BE wasn't very good when it first started either....that's how we have to look at things...like were starting over

Dude you need to get a hold of yourself. The league is very young with two brand new coaches.
1. Both CUSE and PITT have new coaches. Players they got now are not the type they need to run their system. People need to give them a year or two in recruiting before declaring them as bad.
2. UCONN, USF, UL and WVU are very young teams that will get better. As an UCONN fan, I can tell you our team has improved every single year under Edsall and talent has got better. Our D is fast now and can play with anyone.
Rome was not built in one day nor will the new BE. It will take time. I just hope UL will go back to their old ways. If they beat UNC today badly, it will be a start.
Look at the Big Ten, NW just beat Wisc in a worst way. Things are fairly balanced all over. PENN ST could be leading the B10 after today, who would have thought of that?

Right now I'm thinking WVU, UofL, UConn, & USF very likely are bowl teams. Rutgers is the only school that could be the 5th. I see them maybe at 6-5.
Rutgers is currently 3-2, and while I know Knight fans concede nothing!...barring upsets i see losses @ UConn & @ UofL & a near certain home win against UC. That puts them at 4-4 with 3 toss-ups, needing to win 2.

try not to overreact or anything. bottom line the goal was to get 2 teams in the top 25 with one hopefully within the top 15. louisville is manhandling a good north carolina team, west va will be favored for the remainder of their games besides louisville. usf should be favored with the exception to the west va game (although i like our chances at home) and maybe the uconn game. uconn has talent and should make it to their second straight bowl.
pitt is bringing in a hell of a lot of talent next year, syracuse will improve they're too proud of a program not too, usf is a very young team, and louisville has only scratched the surface to their potential.
the only question marks are rutgers which may be in the last year w/ schiano and cinci which is in complete rebuilding mode. the big east hasn't done anything that would lead me to believe we won't keep our bcs bid, louisville is rebounding nicely from its loss to usf. as much as the old guard may not like it it's good to see the younger teams step it up, we're a deeper conference than i expected.

how does WVU beating Rutgers somehow mean the BE is bad?
Perhaps WV is a pretty good team. When league members play, someone wins, and someone loses. Rutgers played a tough game, and they should be going to a bowl.
This crying that the Big East sucks after every BE team loses a game is getting pretty old, especially since in this case it was also a BE team that WON the game. Jeez.

The BE is certainly a good BCS league with a great market and a set of great schools.Enough from those in the mwc and cusa.
