A couple of their fans have already come on Panther Talk predicting a win by the same or greater margin that they beat Texas A&M...wait for it...Commerce. Not sure how they got away with playing Div II school this year but whatever. I like our chances in this one after coming up with 22 first downs on the road against an SEC team.

Good points, Panama. I think we can do well IF we play up to our potential. I definitely don't think we played anywhere near our potential last week. Not sure what's going on but it appears fixable.

Last season in our second game we lost to McMurry (DII team) and we were all worried the same dip in our performance would happen this season. Looks like it did to an extent. We eventually ended up beating you guys that season. It was a fun game with solid plays on both sides.

So many if us think the same will occur this season. I'm more pessimistic but if our guys do play to their potential and can fix the issues, it should be a good game.

Your guys look good and I have high expectations for an entertaining game.

McMurry was a D III team last year.

Ah, you are right! Thanks for the correction.

If GSU shows up, they'll win this game. UTSA barely beat a really bad USA squad that turned the ball over in the red zone too much. It doesn't get much worse than the RB knocking the ball out of the QB's hands on the 20 yrd line.

It wasn't even a miffed hand off 01-gts

If all teams played to their potential there would never be a reason to play. Just allow schools to recruit, calculate a numeric value for their potential and then rank the numbers.

This could be an interesting game.

Yeah, our schedule was set before we ever knew we would be in the WAC (or knew we would be in FBS so soon). We had to fill the schedule as an independent FCS at that time. That meant DII, NAIA, and FCS.

Next season we start to have great OOC schedules (all FBS opponents). Those future OOC schedules were also set before we knew we were going to be in the WAC. It's just the way it worked out.

This response is a classic. Before the UTSA/South Alabama game every South Alabama fan and their grandma was talking smack about how they were going to "BLOW OUT" UTSA at home. That there was no way they had a chance to win the game.

Now that the game is over and South Alabama lost. It's because South Alabama is a "REALLY" bad team. But since that game, not one of those South Alabama fans have set foot on the CUSA board, not even to say congratz.

USA is not a really bad team, they had a really bad game with four turnovers that each led to UTSA scores. Respect to UTSA, though. They were as good as USA and took advantage of the mistakes.
I didn't visit the CUSA board before the game so I have no reason to go there after.

Because we played really badly, and continue to, sketching by Nicholls St 9-3. I didn't go to the CUSA board to talk smack, I'm not going to go to the CUSA board to congratulate them.
