Syracuse basketball roster updated
http://www.suathletics.com/roster.aspx?path=mbasket

New heights and weights. Looks like Duke transfer Gbinije is wearing #0. Overall our starting lineup will have a lot of size. These will be the starters IMO. I could also see Fair at PF with Christmas at C.

So. PG Michael Carter-Williams - 6'6 185 (Grew an inch, put on 10lbs)
Sr. SG Brandon Triche - 6'4 210 (put on 5lbs)
Sr. SF James Southerland - 6'8 215 (put on 5lbs)
So. PF Rakeem Christmas - 6'9 242 (Put on 20lbs)
Fr. C DaJuan Coleman - 6'9 288 (Grew an inch)

Rotation

Jr. C.J. Fair 6'8 203 (put on 10lbs)
Fr. F Jerami Grant - 6'8 203 (Grew 2 inches, put on 20lbs)
RS Fr. G Trevor Cooney - 6'4 215 (put on 30lbs)
Jr. C Baye Moussa Keita - 6'10 215 (No change)

Redshirt

So.
G/F Michael Gbinije - 6'7 200 (No change from Duke)

Fair starts, and Southerland comes off the bench.

It's good to see Rak add muscle and exciting to know our PG will be 6 foot 6.

30 pounds seems like a bit too much for Cooney though...

He's at a good weight now, though. He obviously took being redshirted last year seriously.

I could see that too. The thing is Southerland is a senior and is a long range shooter. I think his play style meshes more with the starters. Either way it's a very good starting lineup, and Fair has definitely earned the right to start.

I agree. Fair was more consistent than Southerland, at least in my opinion. Both of them start at almost any other school. Boeheim has stocked the team well.

With the ease that MCW can get to the rim they are going to want/need a better shooter for him to kick out to than Bradon. So I think Southerland ends up starting.

Fair started 9 games last year.

Boeheim has never benched a returning starter at the beginning of a new season.

RE: Syracuse basketball roster updated
Started 9 games because of the Melo situation. So it is not like he was normally a starter.

Fair, Coleman and Rak in the starting line-up seems to limited offensively unless Fair can really improve his game 18-22 feet from the basket. Southerland SHOULD start, though i'm not sure he will.

Yes....03-lmfao

But I like our chances if the ACC refs call it even.

Well if it's like VT's first game against Duke, you'll have no chance. If Duke didn't field a team, you'll have no chance, because the Refs will be suited up against you.

Can't be any worse than Higgins and Burr,

I don't like our chances of that (refs being fair)

Figures that Higgins would retire from reffing the big east when we leave.
