Brick City Pirate Wrote:So Maze, It sounds as if Louisville is in trouble if USF has more talent since they also appear to better coaching since they thrashed the Cards. Do you think your Cards would thrash Wisconsin, GaTech, NC State, & Utah? Some of those games Louisville probably would have dominated, some would have been close, & Louisville might have been dominated in one of the games. You never know until you play the games. UNC won 2 out of 4 of those games & the 2 they lost were close. Louisville is better than UNC, no doubt, but the UNC team that got waxed this past weekend, didn't play like the team that played in their first 4 games againt quality competition. It may be as simple as Louisville just has UNC's number. Do you think West Virginia is only 5 points better than ECU playing in West Virginia. ECU could & probably should have won that game. If my Pirates won, I wouldn't have thought that we were more talented. What makes college football so great is you just never know who's going to win until the game is over most of the time.

P.S. I will never warn Cardinal fans to be wary of UNC again in football. Your team has their number.
Truthfully on a neutral field I would favor us against all of them.

We just can't beat USF in Florida. Now get them in Louisville then it is a different story. 03-wink

Just remember the past two years:

Louisville 104
North Carolina 14

First of all, I don't know anyone in there right mind thought Louisville would lose to UNC @ home. I know I didn't; despite the USF debacle. With that said I will agree with BCP on one aspect, their recruiting classes were rated higher, but UNC talent or so called talent doesn't pan out. Ronald Curry was talented, but he couldn't hit a five yard out if they had his momma at gun point. I am glad Louisville put it on UNC; although expect not to see a series renewal. Once you beat them, they will drop you like a bad habit. Need proof ask d1-aa Furman Paladins who walked into Kenan stadium and played smash football against UNC and beat them 28-3 or something.

Wish UL good luck the rest of the season, i was hoping you guys would throw another monkey wrench in the BCS system this year; but with that one loss, I am not sure now.
