Hah. Real sports you say. Hockey IS a real sport, in that it requires significant athletic ability.
So what does ESPN have that ISNT a real sport? Several things.
1. Poker. Anything an 85 year old woman who is 30 pounds overweight could play (provided you could live with stats like that), is not really a sport. Poker is a GAME.
2. Billiards. I saw a big tub o' person doing pretty well. GAME.
3. Bowling. Almost any human being can lift 16 pounds. And if you are a good bowler, you don't really use much arm strength, its more in form. Another GAME, not "sport".
4. NASCAR is debatable...steering isnt power, so its not like its easy. At least it requires some form of athletic ability. Even if it isnt football or rugby etc...at least you need your body for SOMETHING. And if you're too fat...you weigh down the car...LOL
5. Most shows on espn are at least based on sports, but i should definitely point out that "around the horn" is not a sport itself, though it is about sports, and belongs on ESPN. Things like this are listed to make the list more complete.
6. Juggling? Man you'd have to be up late to see it though. I guess you need to be flexible? Its more of a sport than biliards.
Incidently, hockey is very much a sport. Especially if you get into fights, which is 3/4 of the fun :D . Even if you don't, try skating around for a few hours swinging a stick, and you'll probably find it difficult. Add getting plastered into walls and knocked down and having to get back up, and suddenly its challenging.
Now, don't get me wrong, I don't want to watch hockey either, but it IS a sport.
