The world did not end yesterday, for EMU or for the B1G, which was 6 - 6 yesterday.

There was a 2014 basketball recruit on campus so Dennis is in his 7th heaven (though Dennis, it means NOTHING).

I'm going to Mass this morning trying to get to Heaven.

I may pray that Dennis gets that Orlando Magic scouting job and let Murphy stay at EMU. No jokes that I may be in my 7th heaven.

I'm going to the Lions game this afternoon which may or may not be like being in Heaven. I won't know until I know.

I'll NEVER be disloyal because after all...it's just sports. We all have to go back to work, pay bills, etc. This is meant to be fun, winning would just be the icing on the cake, it doesn't change our lives.

All that said, my feeling is EMU came into the season overconfident and maybe didn't work as hard as they should've. Well, I think everyone involved now knows that they're not that good and they have 2 choices: work their a***s off to become good or just get beat down against good teams. These next 2 weeks will reveal a lot.

You surprise me.

You're talking about dropping out, but I think you dropped out LAST year during the bowl bid chance in November.

You gave up on EMU FB for grand kids hockey while the rest of us were on pins and needles hoping for win #7.

I'm very disappointed with EMU athletics right now. Murphy's lack of loyalty to the program and the school soured me on the men's basketball team. And it appears that rather return to the power rushing game we are trying to make our QB a square to fit a round hole passing game along with an offensive line that is a power line not pass blockers and its evident that the players recruited to fit the holes in the DL currently lack the skills of last year's class putting more pressure on the overall defense.

That all being said I'm not quitting on EMU sports, I've been through the drought before and see the false Messiahs. This year will prove whether English is the real deal for this football program and Murphy well we'll see how long it takes him to collect $200,000 in his piggy bank.

BTW, the sun rose Sunday but it was a tough weekend. Tigers got swept. Lions averted a total disaster.

For what it's worth. After all my bitching, I am not giving up on this team.. I will keep bitching and compiling opinions on the team but I am going to keep pulling and supporting them..

This is true, Bob. I love EMU and EMU athletics passionately, and I always will. However, that doesn't mean I need to actively sit through one football debacle after another.

I know but don't give up yet. I have a feeling this team is going to scrap and claw against Purdue. This game is going to be very telling. If we see some fight against the Boilers, we may have a chance to win some games!

I think NuPudge is going to bring the 15 hot girls (he can explain that to his wife later) and optionally the booze.

Dennis will bring the basketball recruits. (and he can explain that to the NCAA later when they contact him.). Dennis doesn't drink or chase, so it has to be the recruits.

I'll bring the American Express card to pay for it all (I'll explain to them how I went over my credit limit on a single bowl game weekend. I can hear them now: "We gave you a near unlimited credit line and you exceeded it.").

KPJ can take photographs (of what can be photographed legally) and post on EMU-themed websites. KPJ: If you see a recruit with two smoking hot girls, put the camera away, have a few drinks and deny what you saw (although it might be hard to forget).
