Tulsa/Tulane Injury
Last play of 1st half, Tulane FS Devon Walker went to make a tackle and hit his own team mate.
He did not move.
They adminstered CPR to get him breathing again and is stable.
More than 30 minutes to get him stable and into ambulance to take to hospital.

Prayers folks.

Bit of an update. One of our alums lives in Tulsa and works their games (not disclosing his capacity) and said it was pretty damn awful.
They performed CPR, had to use a defibrilator and do a trach...all on the field before getting him stable enough for the ambulance.
Reported later he has a fractured spine.

Reports in the New Orleans Times Picayune state that he does have some slight feeling in his arms and legs but it is still too early to predict the long term outcome. He will have surgery later this week.

Unfortunately, it takes an event like this to remind all of us that this is a violent game. And as much as we like to discuss it, it's the kids on that field that are putting themselves in danger to entertain us, and all for the right to get an education.

Prayers for a complete and speedy recovery.
