That doesn't have jack **** to do with anything...if it did, Temple would be in The Big East. The TV market talk is absolute garbage. Teams are attractive to conferences due to fan interest, not TV market size. Get a clue.

He dropped off after the losses to Mississippi and tulsa, but he's back on the ESPN watch list. No way he goes to NYC now though.

Isn't DeAngelo leading the nation in total rushing as well as in rushing per game at an 187 or so average - (leads by +20 yards over the back in second place)

Yep – here are the NCAA rushing stats. DeAngelo leads the nation at a 187.25 average. The running back who is second in the nation comes in at 149.20. An average distance of not quite 40 yards per game. Here’s the LINK -->

I really don't buy into the idea of TV markets and its relationship to college football, just look at schools like Alabama, Virginia Tech, Iowa, and others. For those that are interested here is an "updated" list of 05 tv markets and the DIRECT D-1A football schools the market holds, some overlap. Lets deal with ECU.MT told Terry Holland to forget about ibeing a football member of the BE in 2005.Instead ND signed for a 3 game per with the BE plus a bowl deal. Also Army and Navy are each getting involved in a 4 game per year deal with the BE.Navy already has Rutgers,UCONN and Pitt.Army has Rutgers and UCONN.By the way ECU is fair academic school with a fair football team and a terrible bb program.Their admission might make their fans happy but would not help the BE.TV markets make money with viewers and advertisers.

Only a jerk would compare SEC national championship programs with ECU.UFLA is a top research university (an AAU member) with great sports programs.Auburn is top technological university with a great sports program.ECU does not average 90k per game and the great research universities and great sports programs of NC do not include ECU.Terry Holland's magic is not strong enough for that job.

ST Patrick I am a BE fan who graduated from B10 programs. Also I am a NE who believes that the footprint of the BE should be directed toward the NE/MW not to the little south schools.

Maroney and Calhoun are the only two who are even remotely close, and even then, they've each played one more game than DeAngelo.

Hummell, Tigersharktwo is a fan/alum. of a Big East school that doesn't play D1a football if I remember correctly. He doesn't want the money schools to leave his school in a conference that will resemble the A-10. He also thinks that academics are the deciding factor when it comes to possible Big East expansion. You are correct. He does not know anything about ECU or possible expanion. He must be very smart, since he graduated from an AAU school with a degree in P.E. :D

Jeepers Christmas folks. What is this, preschool recess?

State facts. Offer opinions. Move on.

To TS2:

Sometime earlier this year on the other board you switched from simply offering you ideas to making sure every comment included some jibe at another poster/program. Seriously, I think I'd have a tough time finding a post of yours that is a serious contribution to the discussion. Keep it up and I'll pursue your banishment with the admins. I'm begging you, Please find a high road somehow.

To Everyone Else:

TS2 isn't exactly, or always, alone in begin guilty here. Get a ******* grip and realize when you're simply baiting or being baited. Or else this board will join others abandoned by all the quality members.

This is suppose to be a BE board to discuss the BE amongst BE fans.It is not suppose to be a sales meeting of CUSA east members for entry into the BE.I do not go onto the CUSA board and start the same kind of stuff that is heard here from cusa east.members.I would think the majority of BE members have heard the ECU/Smiss/Memphis stuff for the BE on a continuing basis. If anyone should deprived of membership on this board it is the CUSA east group.Let them post all their plans on the CUSA board. they want, but get them of their trip on the BE

It is a BE board; however, the topic in this post included C-USA teams. The fact is that many are looking forward to some type of Big East split or expansion and there are no schools in the NE that would be better than some current C-USA programs. UMass, Maine, UVM, URI, SUNY are all better candidates than the southern C-USA schools, I don't think so. We are not going to get Notre Dame or Penn State and both Army and Navy have both come out and stated they don't want to be in a conference; so, we have to look at C-USA or the MAC.

Another topic that should be looked into is the number of BE schools that will lose money this season even by being in the BCS. I know some stated that UC, Pitt, SU, Rutgers and even da Bulls are not making money off football.

The point of this website is for fans of different schools in different conferences to come together and discuss college sports. I understand why Big East fans would be getting tired of constant posting on this board from C-USA East fans, but unless those fans are being terribly disrespectful, there is no reason why they can't read and post on this board.
