A bunch of guys with Box cutters took town the trade center and the pentagon.

If Iran can berth and refuel in Venezuela (or cuba) their options for serviceable deep water ships off of US territory goes up.

They have some subs with a 10K range. The have so few surface ships that committing any to the US would be beyond foolish.

I can't wait to see this. The Iranians are a damn joke. They are more than within their right to patrol international waters. Their Navy better be trained to know where that is.

Iran is more liable to hit the US via Hezbella or some other terrorist organization than actually sending surface ships to patrol international waters off of our coast.

I remember heading straight to Mayport from Scotland, and we had to refuel in the Azores, and then off the coast of Virginia. Heading between Europe/Africa and our coast the Iranians would have to refuel out to sea at least 4-6 times to get to and from our coastline and Iran. And we're still not talking about finding a safe harbor in Venezuela or Cuba, they'd have to get there first. Now lets talk about food/drinks etc, they'll have to do at least 2 stores on loads as well. Aight, their ships are also 80's/maybe early 90's model ships. Its very plausible that one of their ships will be DIW at some point in their voyage due to a fire or anything. Are they mechanically inclined to fix their ships while at sea? (The reason why I ask this is because the Spanish had a FFG that they bought from the US and that SOB always had problems and our Electrician Mates and Diesel Mechanics would be working on their ship every single port of our voyage.)

I don't see the Iranians having the $$$ to fund a deployment like this one. They need a refueling vessel that would also supply stores. And would Russia/China or any European Country be willing to help the Iranians out.... I doubt it.

Not surprising that he wants his political opposites dead, he wants me in jail for crimes I don't commit so it's obvious the only way he can get his way is to jail or kill the rest of us.

Good point. If they are going to patrol international waters...they better get schooled on the protocols. I think all this is total hogwash anyway. Those dumb mofos couldn't sail a damn bathtub.

I doubt that Iran has the logistical ability to operate off our shores.
