Violations catch up to six Roadrunners (mysa.com article)

"MOBILE, Ala. — A starter and a key backup on defense were among six UTSA players who didn't travel for the season opener because of violations of team rules, a spokesman said.

Neither starting safety Nic Johnston nor defensive tackle Richard Burge made the trip. Others staying home were running back Terrance Wilburn, wide receiver Kenny Bias, quarterback Ryan Polite and deep snapper Drew Johnson.

Burge will suffer a two-game punishment, meaning he also will sit out the team's home opener Saturday against Texas A&M-Commerce.

All the others were one-game penalties. The discipline is believed to have been meted out because of separate issues.

UTSA shuffles defense: Linebacker Steven Kurfehs started the game at safety in place of Johnston. Blake Terry started at linebacker in Kurfehs' spot.

Two out for the year: Defensive tackle Dominique Henderson and cornerback Xaviar Archangel are out for the year due to academics, a spokesman said.

- Jerry Briggs"

I guess it was Dominique Henderson that IRS was talking about when they mentioned in an article a few weeks ago that there is defensive lineman who will not be playing this season due to a non-injury reason.
