RE: Game Thoughts
When you go 1/8 with -1 yards passing in a half, that's cause for concern.

I think we'll come out passing against Tenn-Martin for two main reasons.
1) Lynch obviously needs the work
2) The coaches will want to limit the number hits he takes during the season

3) Just like in general Iowa was physically superior to NIU, NIU is physically superior to UT-M.

I didn't think Iowa man handled either of our lines. Our D line got the best of their oline to the tune of 6 sacks. Wisconsin last year, I would agree with you. Iowa this year, not so much.

very true. i guess i am only going off of my initial impression of seeing how big their linemen were compared to our linemen. a big part was how much we were rotating our d-linemen as well. everyone stayed fresh because they were rested. would they have been as effective if it was generally the same front 4 all game? i don't know....but we did rotate for a reason.

+1.
The thing that hurt us with our O-Line was inexperience. They weren't physically over-matched.

RE: Game Thoughts
Noise volume is likely greatest in clubhouse seating with the roof hanging overhead where sound disapates less than in open areas.
I was in 214 and the hawkeyes surrounding me did not get very loud or not often cheering much until the last few mintes.

I don't disagree there was noise late in the game. But the place was a library most of the game. And being at the 1 hurt us a lot more on the second to last drive than the noise. It limited our already limited playcalling.
It was louder than most Bears games which surprised me
Oh that doesn't surprise me, Bears games aren't very loud at all. College fans are generally louder than NFL fans too, at least in my experiences.
SF gets pretty loud for Bear games I think. I sit 1st row 200s.Think it depends where you sit. I will say college is louder generally, throughout, obviously more in domes too. Old U of I was deafening in mid 80's. There were times opposing QB wouldn't snap for 30 seconds.
I couldn't believe how UM did not get that loud for having 70% more seats than sf.
