NBC Sports Network announced new radio shows starting Tuesday
I'm on board more and more with this plan to go with them! Should be exciting to see them launch the various tv and radio shows.

7-10am = Eric Kuselias
10am - ? = Amani Toomer

With some nice shows throughout the day and week
I think currently Sunday Night Football with Patrick and the gang kill the others anyways!

Any source for where these shows will be aired? Orlando is dying for decent sports programming, and the local ESPiN channel is abysmal, at best. Would be nice to see an NBC station pick up some of these shows, in our area.

Do you not get the NBC Sports Channel in Orlando? They'll all be airing on that channel. I guess Cox Communications doesn't air that channel yet?

Believe the Orlando area poster was talking about radio (i.e. sports talk radio in Orlando sucks).

The new NBC Sports Radio Network starts up next week and any new addition would be welcome. Eric Kuselias was good when he was a regular on the radio (mostly with ESPN).

Orlando actually just got Yahoo Sports on a small AM channel (810 AM) but Orlando still lacks a FM sports talk station (Tampa just got at least one recently).

Rumor is the local ESPN affiliate in Orlando will be dropping ESPN later this fall (too expensive) but they haven't said if they were joining NBC Sports or not...but hope they do.

Frankly, they're trying to find a way to get their money's worth out of Kuselias. He had some personnel issues at ESPN with on-air talent, specifically an alleged affair with another on-air female talent there while he was married. His contract wasn't renewed after he was outed by Deadspin for his various indiscretions. He's decent on items that he is familiar with, namely legal issues because he's a former practicing attorney and member of MENSA. ESPN made a disastrous move and had him anchor some of their NASCAR programming when he had virtually no knowledge of auto racing. Several instances of his co-anchors & analysts giving him the "deer in the headlights" look for some of his analysis and suggestions on how to improve auto racing.

Kuselias moved over to NBC Sports Network after bombing out while hosting sister network Golf Channel's "Morning Drive". His "player" nature followed him to that show as he ended up getting engaged to one of the co-hosts on the show, Holly Sonders.

Since the radio stuff was mentioned, a couple other notes

- Jim Rome's radio show is leaving Premiere Radio Networks (aka Clear Channel) who he's been with since 1996. The show will be part of the CBS Sports Radio Network along with Doug Gottlieb's new show.

- Dan Patrick, who was brought up in the original post, has his show owned completely by DirecTV. DirecTV then sells the radio distribution rights to Premiere Radio. If Patrick wants to move, it would be up to DirecTV to sell to a new company.

In regards to the topic of ESPN host "transgressions", the list is LONG on how many sexual harrassment lawsuits and cases from numerous ESPN hosts through the years....its almost comical its so long.

If we had an NBC Sports radio station in Memphis, I would listen often, especially if they had heavy coverage of the Big East. Memphis has radio sports talk stations galore, but they all suck.

Memphis will have an affiliate when it launches Tuesday. 560/87.7 according to this link

http://radioinsight.com/blog/headlines/7...ffiliates/

NBC Sports Network has a partnership with Dial Global who owns the NFL's national radio rights. It will be interesting if they try to leverage the NFL rights to get more affiliates to pick up the entire package.
