You know, my husband is a G'town grad, class of '78. Just last week we were trying to figure out whether or not they had a team. Too bad about the loss to Lehigh - ouch.
What conference is G'town in?

Patriot League -- we're still adjusting to division II....frankly, I was happy going down to the games occassionally when they were in division III and just having a good time.
Now I don't even dare, fearing another 69-0 loss.

LOL! Wait 'til UConn plays Miami next month. We'll be happy with 69-0.
This transitions stuff stinks, huh?

Transition does suck, and from the looks of the freshmen, it won't get better.
Who knows, maybe the huskies will get a field goal.
I cant wait for basketball season. <img border="0" alt="[snore]" title="" src="graemlins/snore.gif" />

Uconn is actually looking good. Lew Perkins is the man, he is a solid AD and guiding the huskys in the right direction. SilverSpring, you have to know that there will be a conference shake up in 2005 if not before, how do you think it will play out???

I honestly don't know -- Someone's gonna go, and someone's gonna come in -- I really haven't kept up with the rest of the conference that well to take a good guess.

I think the best thing for the BE is to go all sports, I know the Bball only schools don't want to hear that, but it is going to happen. By 2005 there will be an all sports conference on the East Coast and football will rule the roost. The current football members of the BE control the destiny of the conference.

Big East football could really be strong in a few years..with Miami, Syracuse, WV, and VTech right now, and the possible addition of other teams -- we're right there with other conferences.

I think we are right there with the other conferences right now. I'll admit that Rutgers really needs to get better, I think we have the right guy running things and in a few years we'll see results. The teams at the top are solid, the middle of the pack teams have strong foundations, Rutgers, Temple, and Uconn have to get much better to boost the image of the conference. (Uconn looks good, despite their recent jump to D-I).

Temple could get really good in a few seasons -- they've proven they can hang with some teams this season, and that's always a great start.
