Actually, I have absolutely no problem with you guys bashing us on your own board, the Memphis Tiger board. That wasn't my issue. The problem was that one or two of your fans made some posts here, and I wouldn't necessarily consider them flames either. We started talking smack about Memphis here on our own board. You remember the tension that built as we got closer and closer to our game. Well, many of us talked a lot of smack about Memphis on this board, our supposed save haven. That got some of your fans over here talking smack about us. We were then told to stop "baiting" and starting trouble. Well, this is,
our board. We should be able to talk all the smack we want about other teams here, just as you Memphis Tiger fans should be able to talk as much smack about Ole Miss as you want on your board. Now, if we want to smack back and forth, that's what the smack boards were created for.
The Memphis board however, was not told to stop posting Ole Miss smack. So we had to stop, but y'all could continue was what it amounted to, and that was my problem. When I questioned this, I was blown off. When I asked why this board had become a one way street, I was told in no uncertain terms that I need to discontinue my line of questioning if I chose to remain here. So, basically, I left. I post from time to time, but I'm on a message board elsewhere, and much happier there.
Trust me bro, what y'all say about us over there does not offend me. Some of it is pretty damned funny actually, and it only reminds me of some of the stuff we say about State and LSU. I read your board from time to time and occasionally post, and anyone who has seen me post over there knows that I'm not out to start trouble.
I just got very frustrated about a month or so ago at how this board had all but died, and being the smartarse that I am, I started this thread to push a few buttons.
I haven't been banned yet. Will I be? Possibly? Will I care? Probably not.
Look forward to seeing you guys on Labor Day in the Liberty Bowl. First beer is on me.
