RE: Beginning of the end for English.
Guys,
I am not giving up on these guys yet.. I think the coaches will make the adjustments... Let give them a chance...
I think we have the talent on the team but we are not putting the right people on the field...
Look at how well Omar and Pipkin played on the line and Henderson played well when he was in there...
I see that Roses is still being picked on my teams throwing his way..
We need to stop the run 1st and place 8 in the box on most 1st and 2nd down..
What happened to the bitzs?
I still think the coaches were out coached... There were no adjustment until it was too late..
I still think the season is not over just now we have more pressure on us...

Not sure how the game looked through the TV for most of you guys, but it always seemed like the refs had to give the spot of the ball a few inches more in Ball State's favor from time to time. And that holding call in the endzone that they flagged against Marcell Rose was horse ****. Oops, I said a bad word.
Oh, and I still don't like Ken Karcher. 3rd & 10 on your 30-something yard line: Why is Gillett running it up the middle?
Hopefully Karcher has discovered that Gillett throwing the ball on third down is a viable option with the 3 freshman receivers and Hoskins at TE. I think some of those head scratching play calls by Karcher had a lot to do with him not trusting his veteran receivers, i.e. Donald Scott. Dawkins, Q. Jones, and Creel look like REAL players and I expect more playing time for the freshman trio.
As for the officiating, the home team ALWAYS gets favorable calls, it's been that way for over 100 years. Its one of the reasons why it's tough to win on the road. No excuses. Just win, baby.
Yeah, touche on the favorable calls thing. Maybe it was the long drought of not being at a football game for too many months, I forgot how it felt to have officials make (& not make) calls like that. In the 3rd quarter, I really really think that there should've been a holding call on the BSU player when Russell was running a Deep Corner route & he prevented Russell from getting to the ball. That missed call pissed me off the most.
Scott just needs to slow down a little bit. By that, I mean he just needs to make sure he runs crisp routes, watch the ball go in his hands, then he can do his thing. Once he has the ball he is a great weapon, he's just gotta do the receiving part of being a receiver.
