The service acadamies, we all understand why.
Alaska and Hawaii, due to their location.

BYU and Notre Dame are the acception for the time being.

No clue what BYU will do...but Notre Dame can most likely remain an Independent as long as they like....and they like it...so I don't see ND joining any football conf in the near or distant future.

NOTE: From the above...Navy is set to join the Big East in 2015...and BYU has obviously been targeted by the Big East...but a decision on that most likely would come only AFTER Big East signs their new tv deal later this winter.

The number of Card fans posting there is at an all time low. Most on the board are all hostile to louisville fans. Maybe will change once football starts, but I have a feeling that it will not. Any way your thoughts, if you ever even come back to this board. 04-cheers

I'm afraid Louisville fans will not be getting a fair shake on the Big East board from here on out. For some reason people are beginning to hate our program and fans. Maybe it's really a sign of respect and possibly jealousy?05-stirthepot

LaBradfordsTWill it is pure hate and jealousy carried forward from our days in CUSA and Louisville fans not being happy about Navy and SDSU. Boise is the only school that the Louisviile fans I know are happy about being added for football. Most of our basketball fans are happy about Memphis and Temple for BB ball.

I kinda don't understand where the UL venom is coming from. Personally I like UL's overall athletic profile. Keep on posting fellas.

Funny thing is that some of the schools the hard core posters represent have been getting creamed on the field. Oh Well !

I love being in a conference with ALL of our traditional rivals in it. Cinci, Memphis, Marquette, and Depaul have always been our primary basketball rivals outside of UK.

I know a lot of you guys clocked out a while ago, but I think a few of us Cincinnati fans are done with the General Board as well.

It is looking like ND is joining the ACC for all sports but football and hockey.

The rumor is that ND will play 5-6 ACC teams per year in football.

No word yet on bowl ties.

RE: The Big East General Board
The hostility should be ramping up for the next several months. Seems that today everyone is trying to berate Louisville fans into acceptance of the revolving door conference.

Notre Dame's exit will either calm expansion or set off another round. Personally, I vote for volatility.

Addendum: I hope we go and take UC, or USF, anyone from the old guard with us. Really not wanting to deal with BYU. At this point in the dance, I guess any partner will do.

If The 12 is serious to expand, the only choices left are between UL,UC,BSU,BYU,USF,UConn,Rutgers. No one else could be on old AQ Radar

I echo those sentiments...the BIG EAST is dead as we know it...the remaining All Sports Schools and the Basketball Schools especially know this.

Would be the most logical and fair thing to do. Of course, we all know logic and fairness has nothing to do with anything in college athletics.
