Tailgating
I've read the rules from ODU and I'm curious how tailgating work. Do you need to purchase a parking pass from ODU or is ODAF? If ODAF, are members only allowed to tailgate? If an experiance tailgater would explain the process to this former pep band member that would be great. FYI as a former pep band, I'm well aware of the drinking that is required for tailgating...I got that covered. My friends and I are trying to get tickets for a game this year and want to join the masses in tailgating.

RE: Tailgating
Tailgate passes are purchased with season tickets and based on donation level of current season.

So basically as you can see each level has different benefits to parking passes for tailgating. If you don't have a parking pass best bet is try to borrow, buy or find friends with them you can tailgate with. We've got 7 groups in the Green lot. We hold it down pretty good over in the NE corner. Can't miss us.

RE: Tailgating
Final, there are a couple white lot passes (both Duquesne and season) for sale on Craigslist right now. There are also tickets for sale with parking passes on Stubhub.

If you don't feel like prepping a tailgate, you can just park at the Ted and head to Kaufman mall. From there you can go to the alumni tent and buy food and drinks. Lastly, I know I've seen some business sponsored tents in the silver and black lots, but I don't think just anyone can go there. Can anyone verify?

If you can't find a pass on craigslist, do this. You just have to bring everything over to the lawn, then take it back before the game I think. I've seen people grilling and drinking over there. Just sucks to be that far away from the car.

RE: Tailgating
Hoffman Beverage had a truck in the Black lot last year and anyone who wanted to walked up with a cup and filled her up. I think a few students that were age appropriate called it MAGIC!!!!!

I am in the white lot this year and will have to start walking an hour before the game to get there on time for kickoff. It is exactly 1 mile from Foreman. Walking while intoxicated 1 mile takes a little while.
