^^ No thundersticks allowed for in conference games.

It will be loud though regardless. With the way the stadium is set up it sounds much louder than seating capacity.

Outside of Va Tech...and most games at Clemson...that's never really been the case.

Heh, while attendance has struggled from the recession, FSU clearly fits in that group with VT and Clemson.

I was just talking sellouts (per the comment above "pack their stadiums")...something Va Tech always does (and Clemson does occasionally), which FSU hasn't done much of over the last few years, that's all.

Stub hub has tix for next to nothing you would be an idiot to buy via school allotment... 03-banghead

Why is everyone talking about Charlie Strong leaving Louisville? Don't you have to win first? He is currently coaching a mediocre team?

Head coaching record
Overall 14–13
Bowls 1–2

Nobody has ever claimed that Pitt travels well. If they have, they are mistaken. I have never seen anybody claiming that the ACC schools pack their stadiums, either, and generally that isn't the case.

What I find funny, though, is that it's Big East fans lashing Pitt/Pitt fans for not travelling or filling the stadium and yet also always crying to measure the worth of a football program based on on-field success.

If you want your football program to be measured based on performance on the field then how about we wait to torch Pitt until you see how they perform on the field this year?

Extreme jealousy is a sickness and should not be minimized. It can be extremely destructive to one's own mental health. It can get especially out of control when one party believes the other is in a fruitful situation that the other party feels they do not deserve.

Example would be fellow Big East fans about Pitt. They feel that since Pitt has been an underachieving football team with a lackluster fan base it is totally unfair that the ACC chose them and not their school? Thus, they go overboard in the rooting of the destruction of both Pitt and said conference that didn't choose them. They then see none of their qualities in Pitt but then make fun of Pitt's short comings as if they attending the Ohio State University.

I could see Pitt get 20% increase for their ACC away games. I could see Pitt sending 110 people to away ACC games. They will be celebrating hard with that 20% increase.

To be fair a lot of the trashing of WVU, Pitt, and SU is coming from the newer school fans. I will miss playing each (well, not really WVU).

Believe this thread to make fun of Pitt was started by a CINCI fan and the first response to pile on was by a LOUISVILLE fan.

Wow, smack talk from a UCONN fan? Really? Your the pinnacle of "big time" college football.

By the way... aren't you guys still asking the ACC for memebership on a weekly basis? 03-lmfao

Don't give yourself that much credit. Many of us are fine with the longtime Pitt posters here, but now couldn't care less about most topics involving Pitt overall unless they also involve our own teams or league wide topics. Pitt moved on and many posters have as well.

Are we pinnacle of big time football? We only been in FBS 7 years so we are working towards it. One thing I do know is Pitt certainly is nowhere close to pinnacle of "big time" football. As for basketball, you are known more for your choking more than anything else.

What's funny is a Pitt fan trying to talk smack. Is UCONN asking for an ACC membership on a weekly basis? I would not know. If I am running UCONN, I would not. We fans have nothing to do with it regardless.

You should just change your school slogan to "Keep on choking". It fits your school perfectly.

Then why do I constantly see Pitt topics brought up on this board? Pitt posters are not starting these threads, just responding to the garbage posted in them.

You guys need to move on with the Pitt bashing because at the end of the day our schools are all similar in terms of size / attendance / winning etc... So now that we are leaving don't act like we are the only urban school in the Big East with shotty attendance and mediocre on field product.
