The men's soccer team won their season opener 4-0 against Navy.

I was out there. 1-0 at the half and then ODU opened it up. ODU's top scorer didn't play, not sure why.

If you're talking about Yannick Smith, he's out with a pulled hamstring.

ODU is now 2-0 after defeating #25 ranked UCF 2-0 last night.

Look forward to playing you guys in soccer. CUSA soccer should be very strong with UAB, FIU, ODU, Charlotte, Kentucky, and South Carolina.

Should be one of the premier leagues in the country.

Soccer America has us at #6 in the nation.

Nice only Charlotte and Tulsa as the only other CUSA teams in the top 25.

New Mexico at #11 is CUSA next year.

ODU beat Seton Hall 6-0. The next game in the Stihl Soccer Classic is at 2:30 on Sunday.

Winthrop did not look very good against VCU today.

Tim Hopkinson was been named National Soccer Player of the Week by College Soccer News and CAA Player of the Week.

Over the weekend he had four goals and four assists.

Hopkinson's brace gave ODU the victory over #2 ranked Creighton tonight.

2-1 victory.

We are 5-0-0.

While I'm not really a fan of soccer, I AM a fan of anything slate blue and silver...great start to the season Monarchs!

Fantastic start for the soccer Monarchs. The Creighton game was quite a show, and hopefully the Maryland game will be an encore. Time for the students to wake up, smell the victory, and pack the stadium in a show of support.

I wish we could get a hoops game against Creighton. This sets a precedent.

Me too! I love reading ODU Defeats Creighton. I've heard all my life "like the university?!" so that would be cool. I may still have it, but as a kid I saved a newspaper clipped that reads Creighton defeats Creighton in soccer!" from probably the early-mid 90s. My family bought me a Creighton University coozie and hoodie one year for my bday. I'm really close to applying there for my masters (online). Would do ODU but they don't have the exact thing I'm after.

Awesome win. Creighton is a very good soccer team and we went into their house and took them down.

The ODU Soccer Monarchs are a legit national championship contender, the game against Maryland should be very telling, we win that and we could be looking at a number 1 national ranking very soon.
